Was just listening to Czaban's radio show, and he was going over the Skins cap situation. He mentioned that he got the info from thehogs.net, then he made a smart comment about "other" fansites that are owned by the team. So, congrats fellas.

I know nothing about him save that some people whose opinions I respect dislike him. Never heard the show before.

You're lucky. I used to listen to it on my way to my old job (because I'm a masochist), and he used to drive me crazy. Flatly, he's an idiot. Which makes him qualified to be a radio sports host, I guess.

And to be in the Monday Night Football booth.

I appreciate the compliment, but I don't think I commented on the show before.

Who cares what anyone thinks of Czaban... how about the fact that he knew where to come to find the information that he needed. :-)

We'll take the free pub... I appreciate the on-air mention. :celebrate:

I second this. Steven is a big douche. I'm sure nobody who knows him, calls him "Czabe"...thats his 'cool alter ego name'. He probably 'googled Redskins and found the site"...which is not surprising

Again though, free publicity is appreciated and encouraged

First, I'm the one who actually put Czabe on to the website. I actually emailed him a couple of weeks ago and told him to come check out the website because its strictly for fans and I personally think its the best Skins site there is.

On another not are you people kidding me? I love listening to Czabe!!! He speaks from the heart regarding OUR Skins and he doesn't cut corners when it comes to bashing anyone that speaks against OUR Skins. He tells it like it is and I honestly think that's why people don't like him. I like him, that's my dude and his show is definitely more lively than Mr. Monotone John Thompson (great coach but horrible to listen too).

This might be a silly question, but who does he work for? is he on the radio, what station?

It's not that he doesn't speak his mind. It's that his mind is weak.

When the Skins signed Smoot and Fletcher, him and Andy Polian went crazy saying the Skins were back at it, signing players who were old, average, and wouldn't fit in the defense.

Even then, the most casual Redskins fan would know that Fletcher and Smoot both performed for Williams before, performed well, and would fit in the system. He even called Fletcher a "mediocre linebacker", which I can quote because I still remember.

Fletcher historically has been ANYTHING but mediocre; he's near Pro Bowl every year. But instead of doing their due diligence and researching who the Skins signed, they immediately started bitching about the signings.

The kicker is how they were complaining that Smoot and Fletcher were overpaid. And then they complained the Skins didn't resign Dockery.

Come now.

The mothership, Sportstalk 980 out of DC.

I'll still never forget earlier this year when he absolutely chewed out Adam Whatshisname from NFL Network in regards to Monk not being in the HOF. Classic.

I agree. People like John Riggins, Brian Mitchell and Doc Walker speak their minds, Czabe comes across as a pompous wanna-be shock jock. The day Sean Taylor died, he was on his show talking about the cap ramifications of his death. I mean, C'mon. This is the same guy who asked Mark Brunell on Comcast whether he would bench himself. He is more of a "radio" person than a worthwhile analyst / commentator or even journalist. He just says stuff to get a rise out of people, and as a fan, I'd rather listen to Riggins, B Mitch, Smokin Al, or Doc Walker.

I heard that show as well and it was actually Andy Pollin that asked about the cap that day and the next. To be fair, czaben himself said it was too soon.

Why does a reference to this site by ANYONE becomes a judgment day on that person?

You guys love to become law enforcement, plaintiffs, witnesses, jury, judges and executioners EVERY TIME that somebody or something that he/she did comes up in any thread. I know that the mood in the Redskins Nation is foul and negative but what is wrong with a guy that comes to the site to search for information and acknowledges it? Incredible.

In the mean time, good job THN! I hope many other media people would come and -acknowledge-that they came.

There's a difference between the two. Please.

First, it's great a media guy referred to the site. Happy to hear it.

But we still can hold an opinion of the guy, can't we?

Or is it now that if he mentioned THN, now he's above criticism or critique?
