The Skins will never be the same...ST's death could affect this team for many seasons to come...
I mean how can you replace a guy like Sean Taylor, on the field or off?
We need a blessing, whether that is drafting another super talented safety or finding a gem somewhere, this team needs someone to help forget about Sean Taylor..(I mean this in no offensive way at all)..
R.I.P. Sean Taylor

Sean Taylor was a terrific football player, but he was just one man, and we have to move on without him.
Football is a team sport, and the loss of one player through injury, free agency, trade or even death cannot doom a franchise by itself.
If the team is run well we'll cope, if it's not run well we'll falter. That's what I fear. Mismanagement.

not to belittle taylors death in any way, but that wouldn't be a bad thing. these 'same' skins we've grown used to, aren't all that great. we can't get much worse. it can't hurt but so much.

Sean Taylor was the best player on this defense, probably the whole damn team. If the rest of the people on this team played with his intensity, and half of his ability, we wouldn't be blowing entire

seasons on a consistent basis.

No doubt. ST was not only the best player on defense, he was the player that the defense was designed around. You can't replace him. He was to the Redskins what Ray Lewis is to the Ravens.
I doubt that we'll have a safety as great as ST for many years, and the focus and strategy of the defense will have to change. But that doesn't mean that a smart and focused change in strategy won't keep this defense in the top 10. It just means that it may look very different.
