Vent, dissect, analyze, and discuss here. The only rule is that ALL profanity and ALL personal attacks MUST go to the Smack forum.
Thanks.

I just heard this on the radio. Apparently when roses were thrown onto the field for ST, Moorman picked one up, crumpled the pedals and threw the stem to the ground. If this is true, how pathetic.

The guys on the radio postgame were just about the throw up while trying to get through their jobs.
Larry Michael even said that he almost wished he could bail on the postgame interviews.
Real, real tough loss, and one that I believe ends our playoff chances.
I heard Fred Smoot cried after the game. I don't blame him.
It seems clear to me that Joe Gibbs no longer has it, and needs to step aside.

Yeah Joe Gibbs needs to pack up and leave town as soon as possible. I love Joe Gibbs. He is a true Hall of Famer, but this has got to be the end of the road for him as far as coaching football goes. He has proven many times this year that he can no longer coach at the highest level.
This team needs to clean house. Get rid of the current coaches and hopefully bring in Cowher with his staff of choice.

How dare you insult the Godly Joseph Jackson Gibbs with your sarcastic punctuation!
Everyone knows that in order to be a good fan you have to support your team, all its players, the coaches and the owner blindly and without dissent.
Anything less and you are a disloyal coward who lacks the intestinal fortitude to support your team at its lowest moment.
I love the Redskins which is why I get so angry when they embarrass themselves.
fans were pathetic

The fans were the worst I've heard in a while for such a big game. Even the announcers mentioned it. Everyone is drained I guess

I don't think you understand the sentiment behind the other threads and posts. Not this week, anyway.
Besides, the critiques
in general tend to be one-sided, sarcastic, and without content. If Mark Brunell was playing quarterback and gave up 13 turnovers on his own in a 6-game stretch, how warm would the commentary at THN be?
Vent if you must, but it's better if you aren't pretending like others have it out for you or that it's "unofficially" against the official rules.

my flight was cancelled from Chicago this morning so I couldn't make the game. Does ANYONE have an extra Sean Taylor Towel? If so let me know, I would really appreciate having one

Gibbs typical conservative nonsense on our last possession and monumental timeout blunder aside, we lost this game in the trenches. Yes we have issues a wide receiver, the secondary is struggling, and the play calling is iffy, but in my opinion the biggest problems on this team are the offensive and defensive lines. The entire team seemed to play with energy and emotion today, except for the oline. In all honesty those guys looked like incompetent pansies out there. Even Samuels and Rabach were embarrassing. CP was getting routinely hit behind the line of scrimmage and JC was running for his life most of the day. I felt bad for JC with the way that the oline let him and the rest of the team down. Yes we have had injuries on the line, but so have teams like the Colts and their line isn't getting embarrassed by one of the worst defenses in the NFL. Fabini and Wade, while not Jansen and Thomas, are nonetheless veteran NFL players and should be playing at a higher level than this. Honestly, Thomas and Jansen wouldn't have helped much today because Samuels, Kendall, and Rabach were being physically dominated at the point of attack. Add into that the stupid mental errors (yes it's been a rough week but the dumb penalties were mostly coming from the oline so not an excuse) and this was one of the single worst offensive line performances that I have ever seen.
As for the defensive line, while not as bad as the oline, they were also worthless. Not a single sack against a rookie qb. It's been an issue for a few seasons now, but the inability of the front four to generate pressure is truly pathetic.
This offseason, along with getting a big receiver, the Skins need to focus on revamping both lines. Until we are able to get consistent line play on both sides of the ball (when was the last time either line played well for an entire season???) we are going to be a mediocre team.
***end of rant***

To blindly follow someone is a dis-service to both the follower and the leader. No one on this board wishes Joe Gibbs anything but success. It is what we all wish for and hoped for when he came back to coach the Redskins. We all wished, hoped, felt that he could restore the Redskins to a position of prominence. Unfortunately, what we have all wished for and hoped for is not coming to pass.
If I have to suffer through another year of Joe Gibbs, so be it but I hope that he will step aside gracefully.

Normally, I am positive but not this time. The season seems to be over because this team seems to be going nowhere. We get pushed around on both the offensive line and defensive line. Campbell likes to give up at least 1 fumble and 1 interception per game. Our defense can't stop the big play. Gibbs (who I still love) practically gave away the game in the final seconds. I could go on and on but why? This team is playing terrible football and we will be lucky to be 8-8.

I think this game put the nail in the coffin of my Joe Gibbs supporting nature. I just can't support this man anymore, I'm sorry.
When it's 3rd and 6 or 7 and you opponent has no times outs, you do a short, low risk, pass to attempt to get the first down! You don't run the ball to run out the clock and then hope you defense can stop them! I wish this coach had the gonads to go for the throat, which he does not!
And then to call two consecutive time outs to make the game winning FG a chip shot!?!?!
That just seals the deal for me folks, I want Gibbs gone.

Somehow, I suspected you would end up there. Not really a surprise.

It's not only the erosion of Gibbs' coaching ability that makes this team lose. The fact is, we just don't have the talent, particularly along the offensive and defensive lines. Many of these guys play their hearts out, but we don't have the horses. I HATE to see guys like

ey busting their ass for this team. We all know that it is personnel failures that have been a factor here, and It think it's the biggest single factor.

I was really down on Gibbs for making such a bad mistake BUT really we lost this game because we did not stop them when we had to and even more importantly did not take advantage of the scoring opportunities earlier in the game - we should have had this game out of reach but we allowed the Bills to remain in the game and at the end they did - good teams finish games, we are not that team - Gibbs' bonehead mistake did not cost us this game.
We need to be able to get short yardage on the ground whenever we need to and we need to be better on defense on first down - we are not that team.
on a brighter note - IMO we are still better than the Giants and the Eagles (not that that is saying much) - Eli is proving to be such a wasted first overall pick and the Eagles have a lot of issues

Unfortunately I live in Eagles territory and this is the kind of stuff the Eagles fans call into the radio programs criticizing Reid for, only it's the opposite. They wish Reid
would run the ball at the end of the game to run out the clock and not try to pass, pretty ironic. I can't comment on todays game because it was'nt on tv here, but from everyones description it sonded really pathetic during the last 5 minutes or so.

Everybody doesn't know it. I don't know it. The coaching has been the major problem since Gibbs' first pre-season when he picked up Brunell.

Somehow, Gibbs hasn't been able to turn it around in four years. Can't see him doing it in a fifth.

Yeah, I find it amazing that someone would even think of selling their towel, to think it doesn't mean anything to them is disturbing. My kids each want one to hang in their bedrooms, I want one for my "man" room.
