I would love to see Cowher coaching us, We need a change, Our coaching staff sucks!

Bill Cowher has told numerous sources that, assuming Joe Gibbs retires at the end of the season, he would love to become the next head coach of the Washington Redskins.

Problem is, Gregg Williams would quit, but maybe we need a whole new staff. He could get Russ Grimm to come back.

Yeah, it's time. Gibbs deserved the benefit of the doubt, but it's clear that this staff isn't getting the job done.

If we can land Cowher, that would be great. But even if he isn't available, the Redskins need to consider a change. Russ Grimm would be a fine option.

I'd rather have Marty but Snyder burned that bridge. Cowher would be a great choice though.

From what I've read, a big part of the reason he left Pittsburgh (which isn't a bad coaching job - good town, and the management is very patient with coaches) is because of the money. Pittsburgh isn't known for paying a lot, but we are.

Some of the best head coaches are guys who failed as head coaches before, but learned a lot.

Bill Cowher is awesome, and young enough, but Gregg Williams fits the profile of great coordinator, failed head coach, great coordinator again.

I don't want Cowher. Not because he isn't a great coach (he is), but because he's a mercenary.

Bring in Russ Grimm and let him mold the team that he wants.

I'm hoping Gibbs hasn't taught Williams how to manage a clock.

Sounds good to me. It couldn't be any worse than what we have now.

You know its real easy to say fire someone but I don't think Cowher is the answer. How many coaches have won two Super Bowls with two different teams, how many coaches who have retired have came back and even gotten back to the playoffs? Not many at all. Maybe he can change the norm...but

With Cowher your getting a good coach but with the money Dan Snyder will pay for him I believe even his hunger to win would be gone. We all talk about the players that we overpay for and underperform, well we do the same for coaches and it have all ended in the same result.

Its time to grow our Redskins of players and coaches, build teams for the future and not the present because it is not working.

You all disgust me, it's not JG's fault our pro-bowl safety was shot dead this week and coincidentally buffalo burned our secondary down the middle of the field in a 1 min drill to set up a field goal. If ST was on the field we win this game and if he was at the last two we probably win those and sit at 8-4. Joe Gibbs is the best football coach we could ever hope for, how quickly you forget where we we've been without him. To date we are only a few special players away from SB contention specifically a safety, a DE, some OL help and a solid WR.

Joe Gibbs is the best football coach we could ever hope for, how quickly you forget where we we've been without him.

And where exactly has he gotten us in his second tenure? A losing record, his worst season ever, and his worst single game loss. Not to mention he has a track record of boneheaded coaching decisions.....how in the world do you not know that timeout rule? Everyone I watched the game with knew that rule, and yet a $5 million a year coach doesn't?? Give me a break. On top of that, we lost either our 13th or 14th game after leading at the half, easily the worst such mark in the NFL. Yes Gibbs is a good guy and I'm glad that he is here to help the team through the Sean Taylor tragedy, but I really hope that he retires after this season. I can't take much more of this awful coaching.

Please. That would be fine if today's game wasn't a carbon copy of nearly every loss we've had in the last two seasons. We build a 9-13 point lead, immediately clam up on offense, and watch as the other team takes over.

That is Gibbs's fault. Gibbs has some sick pleasure in watching Brunell play. Gibbs threw our old franchise QB to the curb, played Brunell in 2004. Played Ramsey for a half, saw him get injured, never gave him another chance. Played Brunell over Campbell most of last year.

Brunell is Gibbs's fault, bud. Gibbs has had four years. Even before Sean's death, we had lost three straight games.
