As a season ticket holder, today I received his email from the Redskins:

On behalf of the Redskins organization, we want to thank you for your thoughts as we mourn Sean Taylor. It is at times like these that we’re so fortunate to have you as part of the Redskins Family.

When a person like Sean – so young, with so much promise and who leaves behind a toddler – is lost in such a terribly prominent manner, the impact is magnified and even more devastating.

Please know that your thoughts and prayers are appreciated. And thank you for being part of our inner circle. We are all sorry for your loss.

Many of you have asked about how to contribute to Sean’s family and memory. We will shortly email you with information on a fund the Redskins are establishing – with the full endorsement of Sean’s family – to solely benefit his 18-month old daughter Jackie.

By guaranteeing her growth, education, and future well-being we are in small measure fulfilling our role as part of his extended family.

As I read this email and reflect over the last several days, I think of how Joe Gibbs has made a family out of this entire organization. Before his arrival the team had no chemistry and now they are like brothers and sisters. Snyder is learning how to be a great owner. I can think of no other man I would rather have lead the team in this terrible tragedy. RIP 21

I too would have to agree how this organization has become a family, I know the on field decision have been under heavy scrutany lately, but off the field Joe is second to none.

It is for that very reason, as well as the continuity having the same coaching staff brings, that I can't understand all the calls for Joe to step down. He has transformed this organization back into what it was before he left the first time. Winning will come, it just takes some time, but that is the ultimate byproduct of Joe's coaching method.

Snyder gets a lot of flack from the press and from the fans, but this is pure class imho:

From the WaPo

Fund For Sean's Daughter, Jackie
REDSKINS ESTABLISH FUND TO BENEFIT DAUGHTER OF SEAN TAYLOR

ASHBURN, VA - The Washington Redskins today announce establishment of a trust fund to benefit Jackie, the 18-month old daughter of slain safety Sean Taylor.

The Sean Taylor Memorial Trust Fund has been fully endorsed by Jackie Garcia, mother of Sean's daughter, and will guarantee the support and education of their only dependant. The team and Owner Daniel M. Snyder have dedicated a minimum of $500,000 to the fund.

"Sean's father, Pete Taylor, and Jackie made it clear to me that their desire is for young Jackie to have every advantage Sean would have provided," Snyder said. "No one can ever replace him, but we can help ensure their wishes. It's the very least we all can do."

Donations to The Sean Taylor Memorial Trust Fund may be made to:

Hey JS, exactly right brutha but think about it though; before all this happened, all of us were only thinking about football. This right here makes us look at it deeper, hence us all agreeing that Gibbs is the best person to 'try' and handle this situation. I never said fire Gibbs but I always said him and Al need to seperate and let one person do one thing and the other do another thing.
