With our luck, he probably really is an upgrade over Pennington. hahah.

I wish this game were at home so we could have a chance to really rattle him.

The way Pennington has been struggling, is Clemens a downgrade or an upgrade? Look how our game last year vs. Vince Young in his rookie season turned out. The 'skins had better take this game seriously, or it could turn into a trap.

My thoughts exactly. I'd rather face Pennington.

Too true, too damn true.

In reference to the other thread of "running up the score", is a safe bet we'll see the Skins do it since we like to play conservative? Not to be labeled a hypocrite, I hope we do, against everyone!!!!

GO SKINS!!! SHOOT DOWN DA JETS!!!

Clemens is an upgrade, say the Jets fans in my office. In fact, one of them might sell me his tickets, which will be the first time since 1965 that I've seen the Redskins live.

Welch, you need to get out more often. 1965? Was that a type-o?

Clemons is not bad, he has a strong arm. He was one dropped pass from upsetting the Ravens in Baltimore earlier this year.

"Trap" games is terminology reserved for the good teams......the skins are not a good team. We could easily lose EVERY week. Miami game, a squeeker. Arizona, definite squeeker. Jets can go balls out because they have nothing to lose. I don't think this redskins team has the mental capacity (or offensive coaching and talent) to right the ship. The dolphins one week before managed to get 21 points on this NE juggernaut.

We need to start a thread called "help Welch go see a Skins game in this decade".. everyone put up $5 and he's in there like swimwear!

If this team has any sack, they'll mutilate the Jets after the merciless thrashing they took from the Pats. Clemens or Pennington, I'd be afraid if I were them.

If we lose to the Jets... stick a fork in the 'Skins.

Id rather see Pennington then Clemons. Why do I want the Skins to play against a guy who is trying to make a name for himself? This guy is trying to prove he belongs and what would be better for him than to get a win come Sunday?

So I do hope the SKins come ready to play, because indeed this can be a trap game for sure.

All I can say is thank god Pennington isn't playing. Clemens opens up the playbook but will he be albe to execute those plays? We stink so...it will take more than Clemens to beat you guys.

He does have film on "how to perfactly beat the Skins D" in the film of the Pats game. But, he's only played one quarter before. Sure, everyguy that comes in off the bench trys to make a name for himself, like Brady did, but look at hisory of the NFL and you will that is rare for them to be a story like Brady. OR what Big Ben did for the Steelers. Thats just rare. How many other guys have come off the bench in the last year or rookies starting for the first time really made bid difference?

I wouldn't worry about it. In either case they'll be quarterbacking the Jets.

We will eat this kid alive. I don't know what to expect from our offense, but our defense is going to make the Jets pay.

That wouldn't have been an upset! I think the Ravens are the worst 4-3 team in NFL history. They have been playing just awful. Some of that has to do with the fact that they, like us, have had OL injuries. But unlike us they are getting their players back.

I still shake my head and wonder how they can be 4-3. How they are only one game back of Pburge (at least until the Stealers beat them by 3 or 4 TDs Monday) is beyond me!
