HOGNOSTICATIONS 2007: NFL Week 9
Posted: Mon Oct 29, 2007 9:14 am
by Redskin in Canada
I am so over, or better yet, I want to be SO OVER this week that I am taking the
unprecedented step to start this thread still on Monday morning ahead of Week 9.
It might help me get my mind on next week's game.
Look at the bright side of playing against the Pats, we also get to play against the REST of the AFC East, that should be a 3 - 1 record if we play a tiny bit better.
On to Week 9:
Sunday, November 4
49ers at Falcons 1:00 PM
Chargers at Vikings 1:00 PM
Jaguars at Saints 1:00 PM
Panthers at Titans 1:00 PM
Bengals at Bills 1:00 PM
Packers at Chiefs 1:00 PM
Broncos at Lions 1:00 PM
Cardinals at Buccaneers 1:00 PM
Redskins at Jets 1:00 PM
Seahawks at Browns 4:05 PM
Patriots at Colts 4:15 PM
Texans at Raiders 4:15 PM
Cowboys at Eagles 8:15 PM
Monday, November 5
Ravens at Steelers 8:30 PM
Deadline:
Friday, November 2 (9:00 PM)
Visit the main
Hognosticationspage to follow Texas Hog's analyses later in the week. He is a ahead of most of us anyway.

Now, if only the deadline was five days after gameday every week, then I'd be in with a chance.

If we lose to the Jets then our season is over. Plain and simple.
But I just don't see that happening.
Redskins 24
Jets 17

That's a little extreme. We're playing some solid teams with winning records, but no team like the Patriots for the rest of the year. But losing to the pathetic Jets would be a very bad sign.

"When you lose, you die a little"
George Allen.
Come on guys, we will be fine. This team is anxious to get back into the race.

If we can't beat our farm team, then we could be in for a long ride.

At the beginning of the season we all made picks on who we'd lose to this year.. I had us losing to the:
-Giants (1 game because they almost always beat us 1 game)
-Patriots
-Eagles (1 game)
-Bears
Not like this is on the topic of the thread but I was just going by the statement that the season isn't over yet. We have a VERY good chance of making the playoffs, even still with our present 3 losses because the NFC is total bush.

Until our OL snaps back into shape, it really wouldn't surprise me if the Skins didn't win again this season.
God, I hate saying that.
I certainly hope I'm wrong!
The OL is just so very important to this offense - to JC, to Portis, to Moss, to

ey. Without an OL, we can't use all of our weapons!

Having an issue with the software - will try to get the picksheet posted by the end of the day. My apologies but you all may have to make your picks a little later this week so I'm going to extend the picks deadline to Saturday at 6pm.
Maybe just for this week, it would be a good idea for people to post their picks in this thread so that if the software issue takes longer than expected to resolve - you can still point to your picks.
Thanks and I'll post a notice when I've put up the picksheet for this week.

HOOKBASSGA is going to have a hard time posting his picks in this thread, being as he's not a member of THN. I have to assume he is a player for the Skins (most likely from GA). Stephon Heyer, perhaps?

You make a good point. Why did I not think about players who are either from Georgia or live in Georgia or simply like to fish in Georgia?
You know what? I have two hypotheses:
1) This is a player who wants to remain anonymous. Lloyd anybody?
or
2) A Vegas bookie trying to sell us his picks to win the Hognostications in the future. I know several of you will definitely be interested.
I already discarded the WORST possible scenario: a fan of another NFC East Team waiting to tell us that he is a Puke or a Philthy fan!
How about somebody that is not a player but somebody -WITHIN- the Redskins organization? Naaahhhh! Larry Micjhael would not be as good as that. How about a trainer or a coach?

Please enter your picks even if you posted them in this thread.
Thanks and good luck.
