The funny thing about all Redskin interviews/pressers, is that, once youve heard the first one, the rest of the week will be exactly the same. It doesnt matter who is giving the interview. I wish the team had as much unity and dicipline on the playing field. These interviews however, are just as conservative as our offense, very vanilla in content. Every once in a while , Portis will get a little off of the typical with his comments on the John Thompson show (Tuesdays at 3pm Sports Talk 980am) but even then its not to far away from everything else we hear. I want the truth, plain and simple and I dont think we are getting it. Im still not sure who is running the offense, have we ever gotten a straight answer? JC's interview on Rome is Burning, sounded like he had a Joe Gibbs response card on his wrist band. I just want one Redskin to come out and say "Hey, we know New England is good, but we think we can play with these guys" or " dont write the check yet"

You're in luck. Lorenzo Alexander said soimething like:

we know they are good, but we're good, too. On Sunday, they happen to be the team we are facing. We just have to go out there and try to put on a show.

Did Lorenzo happen to mention if he will be playing offense or defense?

Wow, I hope Alexander doesnt have to do extra work in practice or run wind-sprints or something for those comments.

Players always say the exact same thing because as soon as they dont no one will stop talking about it.

No kidding, JCs post game presser must have been written by JG. "It's all of us together." "We just have to keep working on offense." etc.....

The first thing J.C. said was that the offense went 3 and out on three consecutive drives which allowed the Cardinals back into the game.

What he didn't say, and wasn't going to say no matter how much some fans wanted him to, is that the playcalling is handcuffing the offense.

There are ways to say anything without coming across as critical or abrasive.

Lets give it a shot:

" We feel like we let the Cardials back in this game. Maybe after we review the film and see what we left out there, we can open up this offense somemore and give our Defense a break. "

See?

The press would have a field day with that statement.

When asked about the Arizona game Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell said the team needs to open up the offense and give the defense a break, he feels after they review the film it will show they let the cardinals back into the game

The media in the DC area at least. They seem to be the masters of this. Whether it be sports or government. For every other team in the NFL, the quarterback is as much as a team spokesman as the head coach, it seems they are keeping the handcuffs in Jason there too.

I think he has it written on one of those arm bands that QBs wear.

Yeah they would have quoted him, thereby making it the truth
