I know this might now be the right room/board, but I think we should all give a huge prayer out to Shawn Springs and his family. Heard his Dad is in a coma and might not make it.

God is our hope and strength,
a very present help in trouble.

Therefore will we not fear, though the earth be moved,
and though the hills be carried into the midst of the sea;

Though the waters thereof rage and swell,
and though the mountains shake at the tempest of the same.

There is a river, the streams whereof make glad the city of God,
the holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High.

--- Psalms 46: 1-4

I wouldn't be surprised if Springs had 2 INT's and a sack next week, that is if he even plays.

I read the article today. God I hope he gets through this okay. Not for the game but for his family. It's awful when your father is ready to pass. I've been in the exact same position and football aside, I pray for his strength as a man.

Latest report I heard on the news last nite was that his father, unfortunately, has no chance to recover. I hope he takes it well. With his fatehr's ailments, I'd say a part of him will be relieved that his father passes. When my mother finally passed, I was, in part, happy because she suffered for 12 years after a massive heart attack. She was in pain every single day, and I know when she passed, she wasn't in pain anymore.

[-o< for his family's loss.

Everson Walls incredible statement of love and generosity for his team mate will forever stand as an inspiration to me.

My thoughts are with the family of Ron Springs... a class act if ever there was one... :cry:

God has a special place for folks like this.

I would suggest that this thread be reserved for discussing our support of the Springs family... not diabetes education.

I agree, however it seemed one particular post was slightly judgmental of Ron Springs for failing to properly regulate his diabetes, and so I thought the information was relevant and pertinent. Most of the posts have been of a religious nature, and being that I am non-religious I have attempted to avoid replies to those posts. Like everyone else, my heart does go out to the Springs family.
