The most important thing came right at the beginning, when Lloyd was asked why James Thrash is now starting ahead of him.

"The reason why is because during the Miami Dolphins game, the guy intercepted the ball and I was loafing afterwards; it's true, yeah," he said.

He said he was told he was being demoted in a meeting with Joe Gibbs. Later, he was asked whether Gibbs gave him any indication that he'd be able to work his way back into the lineup.

"And that was the question," Lloyd said, "and, you know, the response is just to work hard. It's pretty vague."

He told the Junks that his teammates were responsible for his catch on Sunday, that several of them called up to Al Saunders in the box and asked for Lloyd to be given a chance.

"I wasn't gonna be in," he said. "They told me they went and got on the phone upstairs and told Al to put me in. It felt good to know that my teammates were there. I knew they had my back, because they always talk to me and try to keep me encouraged and keep me positive, and then to hear that on the sidelines...."

Totally agreed. I'd be pretty upset if I were him. I'd be pretty upset that Gibbs is acting like a baby for some dumb thing that happened in the opening game. Im pulling for Lloyd and for Gibbs to man up and put him in. Good to see the teamates still have faith. I feel bad for BL and wish every Sunday they would give him a chance to show them what he can do. Atleast give the man a chance to show why he should be sitting. This is one reason Gibbs infuriates me. Get over it. If JG would grow up, we could have a NASTY WR corps in Moss/Lloyd/ARE. Maybe someone will realize this before its too late and BL goes and puts up huge numbers elsewhere....

Wow, way to go WR corps!!! I'm love that they pulled for him. It's simply amazing.

Gibbs was on the radio and said that it's been hard to get Brandon in due to him being injured so often. Hopefully that IS the case and he'll see some increased playing time STARTING this week.

I loved that B. Lloyd put extra effort into the one catch he got, which resulted in 5+ more yards out of the play. Hopefully, that will show the coaching staff he's ready to be a hard worker and on-the-field contributer, and he'll get more chances.

I hope so too. He's hungry to play, this would be a good game to put him into. Put him in at #3 or at least #4. But give the man his time at #3!

wow, so how far is the doghouse to the penthouse? I think he's willing and able to get there, "IRREGARDLESS" of how much wuch work he has to do, can he ask to stay behind and mop the floors too?

I think it's a bit childish to tell someone they messed up and when they ask how to address that, you mumble "work harder." I LOVE Gibbs, always have, always will, but to continue to take this approach isn't coaching, it's pouting.

I'd say. You cannot fake willingness...

I could not agree more with these two posts. Now that it is clear that Joe expects 110% from him at ALL times, everybody is cool.

This is going to work alright people. It is going to be fine from Joe' s, Brandon's and the Skins' perspectives. This is going to be alright. I think I understand what went on now.

If Joe and Brandon agree that he did not make his best effort to recover after the interception, enough said. He has to work HARDER and he KNOWS it.

Why criticise either of them at this time? I feel that Joe established what he expects from Brandon and Brandon understood it and he is working HARD towards that end. I do not mind having a WR who is HUNGRY to recover his spot and regain his reputation in front of fellow players, coaches and fans. It is a win-win situation people.

Brandon grew up a notch by being honest and behaving quietly during the ordeal.

Well, considering the fact that Gibbs hasn't even given BL the chance to work his way out of JGs dog house is a sign to me Gibbs is being childish. The fact that you are praising the WR CORPS for pushing to get BL in the game shows that Gibbs isnt even giving him the time of day. Isnt that the job of the coach to give the player the opportunity, not the teamates? I think when BL admits he doesnt really know why he hasnt played much goes to show it is a bit childish on Gibbs' part. Even though he won 3 SBs for us, JG can be wrong and act in an immature fashion at times.

Its kind of hard to just say Gibbs is being childish. In spite of this interview, we don't have any idea what the dynamics are. Could be a lot more at play here than just that one interception. Seems like it would take a lot more than that to get in the doghouse after the team has spent this kind of money on you.

I was one of the guys that jumped up and down and went crazy when BL caught that pass. I'm glad he's working harder to do the things that are expected of him and I was getting very aggravated at people who said we should take the cap hit and lose him. Kiss my boots!!! Randle El, Moss, Caldwell, Lloyd, McCardell.. keep them all and lets utilize them in the same manner that Brady or Manning would do!

Gibbs stated today that Lloyds injuries have played a part in it.

Im sorry but I don't have the high expectations you have just yet. It don't sound like its over yet, and it don't sound like Gibbs has let it go yet. He still needs to let go and give Lloyd a chance.

BLloyd said he knows what going to happen at the end of the season. At the end of this read I almost had a tear.

MAN, THAT SUCKS! SUCKS BIG TIME. This shows BL is not a bust and the others on the team know it. If he's cut here at the end of the season, and never gets his chance, Im just getting more and more pist about this.

The good news is maybe, if word gets around to Gibbs and Al, and not only the team wants him to play, but also the fans want him in,,,,,,, maybe he will give him more chances.

I had a Dream, a dream that the 90,000 at fedex field was chanting BLloyd and Gibbs Let him in with game tied. BLloyd then catches the Deep 60 yard game winning TD.

Awesome. One catch for nine yards in four games. So what if Keenan Mcardell came in off the street and had two grabs with one week of practice. BL is the real deal not Keenan, those were lucky grabs and Campbell was being a snob and playing favorites. Gibbs is missing the boat not building the offense around Brandon. If Gibbs doesn't straighten this mess out we should all start chanting "Gibbs must Go!" at the games . . . come on! The BL love fest on this board is beyond me. Did my eyes decieve me or did somebody actually call Gibbs a crybaby? Maybe it's all a joke and I'm dense.

Why not? A core principle of Joe Gibbs' supposed religious beliefs is forgiveness. Would he hold a mistake over Brandon Lloyd's head indefinitely? Not according to his religious beliefs, so if he actually is doing what has been implied, he is placing football above religion. I can't buy that theory without additional proof. I have no religious beliefs but I know Joe Gibbs does, and I know religion controls his existence in the same way coffee controls mine. If anyone is holding a grudge against Brandon Lloyd, I don't think it's Joe Gibbs.

Come on dude! He's got something against BLloyd. What else is there? All this benching BLloyd because, of one thing this year? If I remember correctly the guy didn't even run that INT back 10-15 yards. I could understand if Lloyd was standing inbetween him and the TD and Lloyd steped out of the way and gave him the TD, that didn't happen.

Oh yeah, there was one ofther thing last year with a helmet. Ok, so two mistakes in two years. Wow. I would have been fired from my job in the first couple of weeks If Im not allowed one mistake in a year.

Why is he holding this grudge against Lloyd, and if its not a grudge, than what would you call it?

Are you serious? Should Joe Gibbs turn the other cheek when a team scores a TD on us? Maybe Joe should go coach the Saints. Bible study after practice?

Get for real. I know a lot of you guys don't like Christians or religion but come on, this isn't even worth discussing.
