Not that I have a problem with it, but why is it played before games? I'm sure it has something to do with tradition, but wouldn't it make more sense if USA was playing another country and not just every sporting event?

Well, every time I hear some amateur just destroying a perfectly good national anthem, I get the urge to hit somebody, hard. So, perhaps it's just motivation for the Redskins' defence. My 2 cents
