Redskins Big problems where the CB's?

Alright guys Rogers once again and disappointed me and I say we should sign a CB next year or even start Smoot.Cause at this point Springs even at healthy is not enough and we have to look into this.
An DE might come into Free agency cause there are some good young ones we can afford but I think drafting a 1st round CB could be the best choice.I think get the best available covering fast CB that can tackle cause we need that and Smoot might not even be are answer.

The defense was solid. The problem was the offense in the second half. Didnt you notice that they did not score one point in the second half?

But we also gave up an 3rd down in the 3rd Q and we never got it on are side besides the Taylor INT.
So thats an problem and hey guy I just found out I think I know the problem?,why won't we start Macklin he looked good in the eagles game and still has some speed and can tackle.
But Guys we need to upgrade next year at CB you know like Trade Rogers and just get a better CB in all cost.

Our defense was far far from solid. Way too many 3rd down conversions were allowed for the Giants. That's gotta stop!
I agree, however, that they were on the field way to much in the 2nd half because our offense didn't do squadoosh!

The defense struggled because the offense not only did not score any points, but also had far too many 3 and Out possessions in the second half. The defense didn't even get to sit down before they were back on the field.

do you wanna explain where Rogers messed up besides the last TD, where Eli made a great throw and Burress made a great move?

He let go of some plays but I forgot.

Um that was a pretty huge mess up. He had poor coverage on that play, took a bad angle to get to Burress, and then missed the tackle. He said himself after the game that he screwed up on that play.

Defense was out there too long sunday. Both corners got beat, the Giants have a very good passing offense (Shockey, Toomer, Plaxico). They showed that against Dallas on game 1, we didn't move the ball in the third quarter, if we get one drive in the third quarter, it'd s different outcome...
We need to work on our offensive line, and getting the ball to Randle El early, this will free up Moss and

ey and mostly the running game.

When your offense fails to score in a whole half, I dont think it is fair to blame our corners.
Put it this way the more our defense is on the field , the more oppurtunities for the opposing team to score.

we need to get

ey out in more pass patterns. I was expecting him to have a monster year, but so far he has stayed in more to block than run patterns

Let's not leave Pete Kendall off the list of big problems on Sunday. Justin Tuck blew him up on 3rd and 4th down at the end of the game. If he make a block on either play..we would have scored

You can't blame the left guard when we don't run right ALL GAME. I thought it was pretty easy to comprehend that our right side is in shambles right now. Gameplan to the left, with a team that ALREADY has a good front, not that hard to figure out.
Carlos Rogers has NEVER performed constistantly to earn his paycheck or his draft rank. Get rid of him. I'd rather have consistant play of the Giants secondary than haev ot play the guessing game of ours and wonder which players are actually going to play(namely Rogers). Swapping starting corners like a school girl's crush isn't going to help consistancy for the secondary, either. It is a complicated, many faceted plan, and when you can't stay with ONE plan, then you will NEVER reach your potential.
Get Gibbs off of the playcalling and leave Al Saunders to do his freakin' job. He's been brought in because of his skill at his position. He's not some n00b coming out of a no name college in southern Idaho. LET HIM DO IT. I would be irate if I was Al in the past 18 months. I see nothing but failure while Gibbs is here. The game has past him by and he doesn't realize it. We love Gibbs for his first tenure, but he should have left the past in the past.

So you don't think the coaches said something to Kendall in the film session yesterday?? Look at the play!! He got blown up twice!!
Did you catch Al Sauders interveiw he said he and Gibbs agree on the calls!! You can complain all you want about the second half but the bottom line is we had a chance at the end to tie and it didn't happen. Becuase we choose to run right all game your saying let the guy off the hook?? I'm sure Kendall will be the first to amit he didn't get it done! He got blown up so bad on 4th down that I think he actually tackled Betts on the play!

we were successful running left in the beginning of the game. Maybe Kendall faded towards the end, I have to (painfully) look at the game again. I think 'Los did OK, that mistackle was from a "VABeach move" that Plax put on. And ST took a bad angle and missed there too. Yes 'Los is a first rounder earning 1st round money, and so far he's not making that big of an impact. This is why a lot of people say, breakout running backs are easier to find than shutdown corners. We have been spoiled here coz we've had DGreen, then Champ, the Smoot (debatable on freddie). I guess my point is while Carlos has not produced numbers like we are accustomed to, it very well could be worse. I'm not a Rogers defender, matter of fact, he was my weakest link of this defense. Being a Homer, I'm resigned to the fact that he will our CB this year and next year so rather than look at the bad plays, I just look at the good plays that he does, like not getting the ball thrown his way. That's a victory for him, heck, even a run play is a victory for him.

You mean consistently bad? Ranked 29th in passing defense for 2007?
No thanks.
Skins are 10th in total defense so far, Giants are 25th in total defense.
All things considered, even considering the stinker of a 2nd half on Sunday, I'd take the Skins defense in a heartbeat.

I get that the D was out on the field too long. But isn't it kind of double edged? If our D is on the field that long, then the Giants D was off getting rested making it harder for our offense.
Seems like both sides of the ball just needed to make a play or two.

OR:
If the D were playing out too long then our OFFENSE is rested and ready to make plays... UH, my head hurts...

it was a team "effort" in the second half... the D couldn't get the Giants off the field and the O wasn't able to get any rhythm going...

Yes, it takes the offense a lot of time to recover from all those 3 and out series.

you want to crown him so horribly bad then what else happened? If i remember correctly, Carlos wasn't even covering him most of the game...or really any of the game one-on-one because we were in zone.
i think many of you forget that we don't play man and see one certain reciever catch a pass and want to blame rogers because he was lined up in front of the reciever.
they play the Cover 3 which means that the linebackers allow everything underneath when something is completed. springs and rogers are told to allow short passes as long as they are kept infront of them. which this has been the case all year...
The kid makes one bad play this whole season

The CB's are in Bill Belichick's office. He hopes they'll be less conspicuous than the video cameras.

Do you actually think there's going to be an ego contest about playcalling in an interview? When your boss says, "hey, let's do it this way," what EXACTLY are you going to say? "Yeah, Coach Gibbs said let's run this play, so we did. I really didn't agree with it, I would have won the game, not lost like Coach Gibbs did." Come on now, at least there is unity, but you can't tell me that Saunders with his type of previous offenses is satisfied with the playcalling that has been going on here. There is just TOO many inconstantancies for his previous offenses and ours for me to believe that.
And on Rogers..... TACKLE TACKLE TACKLE. He was embarrassed on that play like he's been embarrassed in the past. If he would have made that tackle, we had a nice chance.

Spur-ri-er! Spur-ri-er! He might be okay since we at least have linemen that belong in the league now, even if some aren't dominant. Raymer and Loverne was painful.
