Gibbs calls 0-2 Giants a 'real, real good football team'

"All of us know the Giants," Gibbs said. "First of all, that team beat us twice last year with most of the same players. We've got a short work week. You can imagine how hard they're going to play. Right now they're sitting there at 0-2 a real, real good football team. I know what we're going to get."

No, I didn't. Gibbs never condescends to or belittles opponents. I just thought it was good that Joe is placing so much emphasis on the importance of not having a letdown.

That's always a danger. I thought the Giants looked fairly good during both games on offense, and the defense didn't look bad in the 1st half of the GB game.

What concerns me, and probably concerns Joe Gibbs, is that the Gnats are averaging 24 points per game to the Redskins 18 points per game. What does not concern me is that the Gnats are giving up 40 points per game to the Redskins 12.5 points per game. I'd still be happier if I knew Burress was out for today's game. It's hard to cover a receiver with that much reach, even in position.

Those stats are misleading...........they did play the cowboys defense the first game of the season where they racked up a crud load of points! I wouldn't worry to much about their points today. Landry/ Taylor are prowling the middle of our field..............This is going to be a beating! Literally!

Any team can beat themselves on any given Sunday just as easily as any team can defeat another team. Nobody here is an ID10T.

Sorry about the idiot comment, not directed at any on this board
, just trying to point out no team should be taken lightly, the giants back are up against the wall. Ask Philly fans about "any given day", up here they're saying they still can't believe they were beaten by the lowly Redskins when their team is so much better, BTW they are still talking playoffs as they have the best team in the NFC, just haven't found their direction. Again, didn't direct the idiot comment to anyone here...hail skins.
