Season now on the shoulders of Fabini & Wade?

Randy Thomas was our lines emotional leader on the field. Losing him and Jansen has to be our number 1 concern, why we're these guys so dependable when we sucked now we have shot and their fragile; it sucks, I don't trust false start Fabini or ol' set in my ways Wade, we need Jansen and Thomas back like yesterday. Does the right side of our line concern you?

I think we can better answer this question after we see how the Redskins rushing attack works this weekend. The Gnats have not been getting defensive pressure on anyone and I doubt they will be getting any on the Skins but I'd prefer to take a "Wait and See" approach.

From what I've seen, Wade has done a pretty good job so far. It's Fabini I'd be watching.

I am glad we have Wade & Fabini as our reserves. Beats having 100 year old Ray Brown as our reserve guard & tackle. Remember those days? RT & JJ did not become fragile. How would your leg hold up against a 240 lb guy rolling up on it? How would your arm hold up against a 330 lb monster on it? I am glad we have guys with starting NFL experience in there. JJ is gone get over it, Randy is out for 6-8 weeks deal with it. Last I checked Skins are 2-0 until they lose one I am not concerned in the least.

I think they will do fine. I really would like to see Heyer get some reps in there.

Wade is just fine. Fabini would be my concern, but we now have a proven vet in DeMulling to step in as and when it becomes necessary.
It's certainly tough to lose both players from that side of the line - but I'm not too concerned - yet. My worry is that we have at least 14 more games to go this season, and that's a long time for the rest of the line to stay healthy. Let's hope we've had our bad luck for the year.

I am concerned, but not enough to put the Kool Aid down. I'm only concerned because the right side of our line was our strong point of our line, but BossHog is coaching these guys up. He did great in the 80's. Lets see what he can do now.

i agree with this guy... after this game we will have a better idea of what they can do

They've run (successfully) on the left side. Maybe we need more gel time for the jigsaw.. I'm hoping. This isn't very satisfying so far.

These guys are pros. Most of the pressure on JC today came from the Samuels side. The one or two times he got pressure from the Fabini/Wade side was when
ey was matched up on Strahan (obvious mis-match) or they were blitzing. Otherwise, those guys held up pretty good today, IMO.
These guys are what we have as backups, so we need to have the confidence in them to "git-r-done"....
Besides, I think that you really have to question the play-calling today, though.....

ey used more like Indy uses Dallas Clark and moving Yoder to TE spot to shore up the ground game. Hell, we needed a 3rd wide reciever anyway. right?

I'm sorry but what you spend on a player does not have anything to do with how you use him in any sport.
Players are used to make plays and especially in football where the combinations of players executing together is much more critical to each play's chance of success than using players who make more to execute that play in that situation.

I'm sorry but what you spend on a player does not have anything to do with how you use him in any sport.
Players are used to make plays and especially in football where the combinations of players executing together is much more critical to each play's chance of success than using players who make more to execute that play in that situation.
With a salary cap what you pay a player definitely plays a part in how you use them. If all we wanted was a blocking TE we could pick up a jpurneyman or convert a lineman. It's a lot easier to learn blocking schemes than being able to run pass routes and then catch the ball.

Yoder was also the reason "Weapon X" missed 2 weeks, he went head to head with one of the strongest safeties in the league and ran him over. Physically Yoder is more suited to blocking than
ey and the O-line needs all the help they can get
