Larry Fitzgerald

I know this is wayy too early to be talking about, but apparently Larry Fitzgerald is not looking to return to Arizona when his contract is up.
I really think he's just what this team needs, he's that big possession type receiver we desperately need.
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/rumors/post ... =nfl,45885
It says he's unhappy with the style of play, but Washington runs the ball a lot too. I say we could still persuade him to come over here if we can have a good season, he'd probably love to join a winning team. Just imagine Moss and Fitzgerald..our passing game would be unstoppable...
What do you guys think?

I think Larry Fitzgerald is going to want more than the Redskins can afford to pay him. I like the idea, but not the price tag.

If Randle el doesn't hit 500 yards and have more than 3 TD than we could probably use him but I like ARE.
ARE is doing real good and is underrated.

I like ARE too but c'mon, he hasnt prooven to be a true No. 2 WR, Fitzgerald could easily have a thousand yard season alongside Moss

Lol your kidding right?.
Hes looked alot better than before hell He could even have 600 yards with just 5 TD and thats enough to be an 2nd string WR.
But He is tall and I wouldn't mind but would you wanna risk an guy like Larry for alot of money and might not fit with us? why not leave things the same unless RANDLE EL sucks.

No I wasnt kidding, ARE's best season was a 600 yard season I think, and that's not really good for a #2 WR, they usually should have around 800. Also you cant forget that pretty much all our receivers are short, Fitzgerald would be a great end zone threat.

But Larry would be selfish and lets not forget how Lloyd turned out with us.
I'll admit its tempting to get Larry and I would love to epically in madden but we have to be smart slim.If we got 11-5 than all we need to do is just get needs like an DE-CB's- Tall WR and another TE that can block.
But Randle el ever since have came in as an starter has shown more plays in the Redskins O and are O in the passing is good now,.

1) I love Fitzgerald, I have him on all three of my fantasy teams
2) Since he's still a Cardinal, this is technically an ATL post

Why would he be selfish? Lloyd just plain old sucks..
ARE is a great slot receiver. Are you seriously telling me you'd rather have ARE at #2 instead of Fitzgerald?

Just so you know, there are two different threads dedicated to Brandon Lloyd. It isn't fair to say that a player who has been involved in less than 5 plays all season "just plain sucks". Lloyd hasn't exactly had the opportunity to work with Jason Campbell that Santana Moss has had, and if no one noticed, Santana hasn't exactly been tearing up the league the first two weeks of the season.

You know as much as Al Saunders and Joe Gibbs do about Lloyd? Obviously he hasn't been showing much if he's not in the games. Face it, he's a bust. I know he's an affiliate to this site, but that doesn't mean I'm going to give him respect when he hasnt earned it. Just another overpaid player riding our bench...man I wish I could make 30 mil sitting on a bench all game..
I say we cut or trade that fool this offseason, and find a way to sign Fitzgerald.

Fitzgerald will cost a boat load of cash, and I think the Skins have FINALLY gotten out of that game.
Lloyd been paid $10.5 M and is due $595,000 this season and has a bonus of $1.8 M due next year. He'll get the remainder of the $595K for this season but if he wants that $1.8 M it'll be like getting your respect... He'll have to earn it because he needs to be on the roster to get it
FYI: Lloyd is a Washington Redskin that does a podcast for the site when time permits. That's as far as the affiliation to this site goes.

Let me just say this. What team doesnt need a Larry Fitzgerald? Any team would take this guy. When his contract is up he will go to the highest bidder.

There's the problem. You wish you could earn money sitting on the bench. Brandon Lloyd wishes he could earn money on the field. No one is going to convince me that James Thrash is a better receiver at this point in his career, although he is a better blocker. Brandon Lloyd is still ahead of Reche Caldwell on the depth chart. If Lloyd was as bad as you make him out to be he would have been cut instead of Bodiford. The cap hit isn't that large. Anyway, this has all been stated and re-stated in another thread.

I think ARE will go for a 1000 this year if he can stay healthy. They've figured out how to use him and Campbell is deadly.

Reche Caldwell is still learning the plays, I expect him to replace Lloyd in a few weeks..Unless Lloyd has a hell of a game, he should be riding the bench for the rest of the season. I dont care what anyone says about Lloyd's upside anymore, he sucks. I mean c'mon, his best season was a 700 yard one..why did we trade a 2nd and 3rd round pick for this guy and give him that big contract? He's not the fastest, he route running is below average, really I think this could be one of the worst signings ever..
To think Reggie Wayne was a FA last year...!?

Caldwell will have enough trouble dressing for games unless someone gets hurt. He doesn't play special teams and is the only backup WR that doesn't

I'm not a Lloyd defender or supporter however he wasn't traded for a 2nd and 3rd round pick. It was a third in 2006 and a 4th this year

No,I'm just saying if are passing game is good now with ARE and Moss on that field along with all the O guys than why change things?.
Are O is top 10 right now in the NFL but I would love Larry so ya I guess it wouldn't hurt but how much would he cost?.

Moss should of had 170 yards if JC threw that wide open pass an lil shorter. And he did drop some passes in Miami but he still gave us a couple first down so really Moss is doing what he is suppose to.

JAMES THRASH SHOULD be splitting time at the 3rd spot with LLoyd, rookies, and Caldwell...
GIVE JT THE RESPECT!!!! gosh he is unselfish, plays for the love of the game and loves the Redskins and the FANS of WAS!!!
