All they talked about was Charles Barkley, Donovan McNabb and the cheating by the Patriots. It would have been nice to hear about the Redskins!!

You didn't enjoy the Charles Barkley show??!
What? There was a game on?

That replay situation was heineous. They only showed one replay from one angle, (even then you could tell the ball was out), but Barkley pronounced it no fumble and the discussion turned to McNugget, the whole time. How lame was that?

Barkley would not have bothered me if he were a FOOTBALL personality, not an overweight retired NBA player with more mouth than knowledge

I wrote and asked "when did the FCC make certain lewd acts legal?", 'cause they sure seemed to be doing all they could to "satisfy" Barkley.
That was about the most amateurish coverage from the booth I have ever seen. Give him a 2 minute courtesy interview, and then slap his butt on the way out the door. Call the freaking game.

Tony K needed to speak up, stop the BS they were spewing, and give the Skins some props.
Post game - S Young says - Efficient.
E. Smith says - Poised.
Don't you know they are choking back giving the Skins some real credit?

I agree. They spent the entire third quarter having a conversation. I need to track down the MNF commnet email and we should flood them with complaints. Even if it hadn't been a Skins game, i'd have been upset with that....

As CP said last week, I would rather no one talk about us, we don't need any non believers on this bandwagon!!!!
My opinion on ESPN though... well my girl said it best (and shes not even a football fan) it sounds like they are at the bar talking bs and not even watching the game.

Exactly - interview Barkley for a minute or two and send him on his way. And bring back Theissman!
The only good part was Kornheiser's comments about how much Gibbs is revered in Washington.

Not only was the coverage turrable (Barkley pronunciation). It was down right cheer-leading for Philly. I am so glad The Skins only play one Monday night game this year so I don't have to listen to the trio of idiots they call a commentary crew.

yeah charles barkley was there for the whole 3rd quarter.. it was rediculous. the 3 Mike crew was way better than these 3. I mean it was a great game, and they didnt even notice.

How about the commercial to begin the game? Where McNabb was being attacked by Redskins from all angels, avoiding them, and talking about his triumphant comeback.
Quite a comeback, Donny! Should have won handedly. I agree, I like the band wagon the size it is now, it has all season to grow!

That really really pissed me off. I pride myself on being objective when it comes to replays but when I saw that replay in slow motion, it looked like the ball was on its way out before the knee hit the ground.
I thought they need "conclusive evidence" to overturn a call on the field.
That was such a CRAP call, it was rediculous!

I love the none props, keep it up ESPN. Post game, they mentioned dallas 2-0 and how the eagles need to step it up to win the division and they wrote off the giants as dead. No where in that conversation did they mention the redskins. Um we're 2-0 and just beat division winning philly, but I guess they are blinded by us. Oh well, I guess they had to cover them since no one picked the skins to win this game. Hail to the skins.

THE SECOND BARKLEY CAME IN ---I TURNED TO MUTE AND IT WAS GREAT...
DID ANYONE HEAR THAT ABSOLUTE LOSER TIRICO CALL MIKE SELLERS ---BRAD SELLERS---FORMER NBA 6TH MAN BACK IN 1990...
LOSER!
ESPN SHOULD BE ASHAMED ...ITS LUDICRIOUS COVERAGE....DONT COMPLAIN TO ESPN....ITS FRUITLESS
COMPLAIN TO THE NFL-------GOODELL WILL LISTEN...HES A PURIST

The announcers tonight were pathetic. Remember that one play where the Redskins coaches made a mistake in not getting the play to Jason Campbell and the Redskins brought their field goal unit out. They critized Joe Gibbs and the Redskins, but The Eagles called a timeout and the Redskins got a touchdown and they didn't say one word about Andy Reid blunder

When I agree with you about anything, it's only fitting to say so. Like you, I do honestly believe that that was the most of amateurish coverage of football I have ever seen, including coverage of second division college games. Does ESPN really think we tuned in for Charles Barkley and an extended discussion of McNabb's being booed rather than the game? What could be going on in the minds of ESPN officials? Maybe they're trying to kill their golden goose.
If the Redskins hadn't been playing, I would have turned the mess off. Truly terrible, terrible coverage.

Thankfully, I as at the bar pounding beers and I couldn't "hear" a lot of the crap they were spewing. I was really irked that I saw so much of them, however.
Really, who gives a crap about Charles Barkley!?!?!?!?

Easy, JH. If the Redskins keep losing linemen to injury, we may need to recruit Barkley to fill the gaps. And Barkley does nothing if not fill gaps.

He'd be better off filling that gap between his ears first.
