To beat the Eagles, the Redskins simply are gonna need to have ey active in the passing game, unlike against Miami.

I realize ey stayed in to help block against Miami. My question is this: Do you think they'll make him stay in to help block against the Eagles, too, or do you think the Redskins will untilize ey the way he should be used - as a passing threat?

I think the reason Wade is starting over Heyer is exactly that ... the team expects Wade to be able to handle his assignment without help. Heyer, although he did a great job last week, needed help playing a new position. ey is not Don Warren. ey is still a top receiving threat and I see the team using him as such.

I can't help thinking that teams are going to work very hard to take the ey option away from Campbell this year. Somebody like ey sitting in the middle of the field is a huge comfort blanket for a young QB, and opposition coaches know that. Against Miami, he was definitely kept in a lot to help out with pass protection, but we may struggle to free him up even when we send him out on a route.

The opponents who ignore ey this year, and just let him play, are going to be in a world of trouble, in my opinion.

If Randal El continues to be effective we'll have three receivers who have to be double covered. I love the idea.

That is key. If Moss's game v the Dolphins was an aberration with the dropped balls and EL can step up his game the defenses will have a hard time focusing on ey, Portis, Betts, and Sellers in the short yard passes. Now, if B. Lloyd could catch a ball every now and then we'd really have something.

i think if we can keep the running game at the level of the bar we set against the dolphins, we will be fine. (although i suspect we're just getting warmed up!)

the stronger and more consistent the running game gets, the stronger and more consistent campbell will get.

i'm not at all worried about moss, he clearly just had an off day.

people forget randel el was only a reciever for like 3 years when he got his ring. then he came here and had to learn a completely different system. he is gonna blow up this year!

cooley is a WR with a tight ends mentality. he WILL be used heavily this season. leaned on, even. (besides, he can't block anyway) i suspect the coaches just didnt wanna give up too much before 2 consecutive divisional match ups.

Yeah! Let them try to take ey away. It just frees up ARE and Moss.

If the D plays well again Monday night, I like our offense' chances against Philly.

while ey was used some to help Heyer he was also just simply taken out of the game by Miami..

they were spying him all game ... often he was facing some form of double coverage.. teams are on to him now.. we will have to come up with ways to get him the football outside of what we are running now..

Wade is starting because Heyer removed ey from JC's arsenal.

How about some 4 and 5 receiver formations? I'd like to see any team try to cover that.

Aside from staying in and assisting in blocking, could it be that when he went out he was being double-teamed? This is what we want. They can't double Moss, ARE, and ey. Someone will be open and make them pay!

Cooley might have caught just one pass, but every time he and Randle El lined up on the same side, the latter was left in man coverage. He capitalized.

Our receivers were wide open vs Miami ..if you take the 2 Moss drops and very bad overthrow of Moss on 3rd down thats another 3 completions for like 65 yards...You have take whats there

secondly KUDOS to ey on manhandling Jason Taylor on Portis Td run..Excellent block!!,,,To me thats way more important than 10 yard catches...

Chris will be at 650 -700 and 6-8 td's at years end

I think whats more concerning is Moss and Campbell are not on the same page yet...Thats a big deteriment if it doesnt correct itself or get better. If Moss doesnt become the HR hitter we need under Campbell (i think eventually it will but the ? is when) then ey will defintely be hurt indirectly by that..

QB 101 for Campbell....... hit em right between the NUMBERS....ala Smoot... and hope they CATCH the ball.

Keep in mind that Heyer is Samuels' back up as well, so it's just smarter in general to start Wade. Also, Wade's getting paid a lot more money than Heyer, make him earn that money.
