You know my vote is for ey. Any thoughts?

Are you kidding me? Shockey's mouth is the biggest part of his game. I'll bet he could catch more passes with his teeth than with his hands. The only problem I see with ey is that he just signed that huge contract extension and usually that means an off year. I'd still take one ey over any number of Shockey's.

Yeah, I just see Shockey on TV more than ey. He seems to be more popular, getting more exposure.

Some people just rave about Shockey. ey should be in those NFL Network commercials.

Today, Shockey is bettter. ey was a non-factor in the Fins game. Next week, we'll see.

Anyway, that's off topic, but it's pretty obvious that Shockey is the better player, and this coming from a big ey fan (rock star lifestyle be damned!)

Shockey is better because he's freakin crazy. i mean i hate him but i have to respect him. you remember when his helmet came off and he just kept running? i mean the guy has a huge mouth and i cant stand him but he has a lot of talent and heart.

On a pure talent level, Shockey is a better receiving tight end. But ey is the better all around Tight End. Also, Shockey has a few years on ey. Shockey has already peaked. ey is just hitting his stride.

Hmmm, I think they are very similiar. I believe that one is just more brash than the other.

I think Shockey is a bit faster than ey but I believe that ey has better hands. Aside from those two factors, they're alike in many respects.

The Dolphins doubled ey all day, I am sure that they look at the preseason games and knew that he was Campbell's favorite target. After ARE's huge game I am sure that ey will not get as many double coverages his way. It is nice to have several weapons.

If you are throwin gin the team mate part this isn't close... ey.

Shockey has been used by Ny as their #1 option with plays designed just to go to him. He is a little faster than ey, but doesn't have ey's nack for finding a zone or the end zone. ey had 9 more TD in his first 3 years than Shockey in his first 3. Shockey has played 2 more years thamn ey and only has 5 more TDs.

With Saunders calling the plays, ey is becoming more of a down field threat. Miami double ey and Moss all game and ARE reaped the rewards!

Next week against Philly ey is going to have a huge game! I don't think Philly has the talent on D to double Moss and ey. With Lito Sheppard out (maybe), and ARE having a huge game, I think Jim Johnson will take his chances with ey 1 on 1 with a safety of LB and that will be a huge mistake?

Not even close. ey is the better TE - what, exactly has Scockey done other than run his mouth and get tattos?

Anyone here who says that Shockey ISN'T a talented TE is lying to themselves and us here on THN. I don't compare stats, there are enough number crunchers here, but they are both good. Shockey has a raw passion that gets him in over his head a lot for his team.

Bottom line is this: I wouldn't want to face eitehr one of them on D....

ey is better because he really does not bash his Qb like Shockey does. Every bad pass that Eli makes to Shockey you see Shockey yelling across the field to ELi. IT is hillarious.

As far as talent goes they are about the same. As far as intangibles ey moves ahead of him. ey just handles his biz. If he has to block all game to help the team win, he does it without hesitation.

I can't stand Shockey but IMO he is a better player than ey.

I think we are a better team with ey than if we had Shockey but that is what makes the NFL so great - most coaches want a player like ey rather than a Shockey because they make the team better.
