Why the need to put guys on "inactive" status....?

53 man roster but some don't play...?

Only 45 are allowed to be active on gameday

Sucks for those just sitting around. Hopefully they rotate that so everyone gets a shot.....?

Looks like Jansen will be on IR so a slot will be open ...

Depends on a few things as to who gets put on the inactive list.

1. Player that's hurt but will be able to play in a few weeks (no reason to put him on IR and lose jim for the season)

2. Depth at a certain position.

3. And then have to look at the game plan, Will you need more DL than OL? Will you need more OL then corners? Will the scheme require more corners than D lineman this week

Not to mention I doubt Arrington ever learned the playbook. I think that was the problem. There aren't any defensive schemes that say "Go wherever you want and don't worry about gaps or coverage"
