Basically the FBI knowingly sent a man to jail for 30+ years even though he was innocent... That's scary. How are they allowed to get away with stuff like that?

IMO, all involved deserve to be sent to prison.

On the bright side, that was one creative way to keep a family together. I mean, how many marriages today last 30 yrs?

I thought it was beautiful how she was able to hang through all of that.

That's a tragedy. What's worse is that the people involved will get a wrist-slap, or maybe lose their jobs. These men lose 30 years of their lives, and the government basically says "oops."

They were wrongfully convicted and sent to a prison where they pay for their debt owed to "society", which means that they lived off the taxpayer's dime and were subjected to the horror that our prison system has become – gangs, rape, guard abuse, etc. So we all pay for wrongfully accused men to be punished in this manner, as if that is somehow repaying a debt (owed to whom?) And when they get out and are finally cleared of guilt: how are they repayed?

Well, the FBI settles it with them in court, to the tune of 100 million dollars. And where does the 100 million come from? Not the FBI, except insofar as it is more tax dollars – we get to pay for it!

Where is the justice in any step in that process? The whole mess is a shame, and those men will never get those 30 years back. Thank God that they were set free.
