Some people are rich because it is too (expletive) expensive to be poor. It is true. You pay more taxes and larger interest rates if you are poor rather than rich. Conversely, you gain greater interest rates in your savings if you are rich rather than poor. The more money you make the less expensive life gets. So, what is wrong with madame Helmsley? She lived the American dream to the fullest.
