cardinalss, 49ers, lions, dolphins, bucs. according to John Clayton...my question is, how the hell can you pick the Bucs over the Skins??

I was stunned as well. Anyone researching football this offseason KNOWS the Redskins are going to be in the hunt. The Cardinals are going to suck as usual. Lions are a joke. Dolphins are toast other than Defense. And the Bucs are back at the bottom where they belong. The 49ers and the Redskins are going to be the most improved over last year.

A good start is essential otherwise heads will drop (some will roll).
I think winning is a habit and confidence breeds success. There is a huge difference between the top 4 and bottom 4 clubs.
The rest are similar with different strengths and weaknesses, but the sum of all parts is roughly the same.
We are in the middle part. Our start will mean the difference between a run into the play offs and a high draft pick.

We were 5-11 guys. Why do you think we deserve so much respect ? Respect comes with winning. Last year, they were pumping us up because of our off season pick-ups. What difference did it make ? 5-11. Win some games, get some respect.

Yeah I'm not to sure about the 49ers being up in that pack. Being since I live in the area where everything you read about is 49ers I don't see why they are being picked to be the most improved team. As long as Alex Smith keeps playing as poorly as he has averaging 12 fumbles per year and then you add the ints I just don't see it.

Keep this list in mind during December. I like John Clayton sometimes, but he's just hoping to get lucky so that he can say "I told you so." If none of these work out, no one will remember anyway.

I agree with some of them. I think the Lions and Dolphins will do better this year than last. And of course the Skins will do much better than last.
Ill tell you why they didn't say us. Its because last year they said we would make a run. We really underachieved. They have no reason the think we won't do the same. They know the talent we have and we didn't make a lot of noise this year in FA.

I predicted a better season for the Cardinals ...
... last season. I thought they would be the favourites in the NFC West. You know how that went:
"We knew who they were. We knew who they were."

All these teams should be better.....on paper. If you look at us, we didn't make any upgrades that were our weakness last year outside of Safety and CB. We didn't put points on the board, no pass rush, and the worst t/o number in history. We did nothing to correct these 3 areas....on paper. I prefer coming in with a chip on our guys shoulder but really, I'm tired of saying that we are going to the playoffs. We've only been once in recent history and we weren't good at all. I'm going to take a wait and see approach.

I'm stunned that you all are stunned.
This could be said about the Redskins any/every year. Once we get some freaking consistency and show some continued growth in one direction than maybe we'll be listed. I believe we are headed down that path.

I could see the Cards being a little better and the Lions have some really good wide outs but nobody to throw them the ball and as for the Fins I live by Miami and they got more problems then people know now with chambers(there number 1 reciever witch is sad)

being arrested in North Carolina. I stand by my statments before and belive that The Skins are on there way.

What he said. Remember people, it's win FIRST, THEN complain about getting no respect from the media. I'd just like to see two winning seasons in a row personally, and I don't care what the media has to say.
