"Patrick has a terrific future"

"The assumption he's not playing," Gibbs said, "is a bad assumption."

"You can't go in there and say if you have one person hurt you're up a creek," Gibbs said. "To me, that really can destroy a team."

Coach Gibbs cannot put it any simpler...WHY oh WHY can't Sexton get the message??? OR is Ramsey not getting the message and having Sexton push it???

He's trying to make money for his client and himself, period. It's business talking. He's just trying to make more money, plain and simple. It's not like he really cares whether Patrick starts or not.

Im with Jake on this.

I'm totally with Jake here. Here's the thing. Even if Patrick starts by beating out Brunell, he's still making less coin than the guy riding the bench. It's got to be about the money. Still, the way it used to be, Brunell would show Patrick how to do the J-O-B.
It's that little devil, Sexton, whispering in his ear.
Ramsey is being played by his own agent, plain and simple to me.

I agree, too. I made a post late last week about Sexton just wanting the money...

What I also think is going on is that the Redskins have two guys who absolutely, positively want to START. The mere fact they aren't guaranteed the starting role is eating away at them, especially Ramsey. Where's Bledsoe when you need him? We should borrow him for a minute to talk to Ramsey and Brunell about how to handle a QB controversy.

Also invited: Holcomb and Couch, Warner and Bulger.

I just want to hear it out of someone's mouth: "I want coach Gibbs to start the guy who gives us the shot to win" not "I want to be traded" or "I want to start" wah wah wah, be happy you're in the league and getting paid to play a game.
