Green traded to Miami
Trent Green can finally smile. The long-awaited trade of the Chiefs quarterback to the Dolphins took place on Tuesday. Kansas City had been holding out for a fourth-round draft pick but settled for a fifth-rounder.

I'm guessing Jacksonville, Dallas, Atlanta, Buffalo, or Chicago. But who knows, he'll probably be somewhere completely different.

yeah i bet chicago would love to have a healthy culpepper if possible, maybe oakland? who knows if he'll ever return to previous form, i think it was mostly randy in MIN.
Trent green is an awesome pickup though, he is a proven qb, and will at the very least buy the phins a little time to develop Beck/ Lemon& and figure out what they want to do with C-Pepp

About time. Green is a class act, and did not deserve the jerking around.

It's about time. This played out almost exactly like the McNair saga last year. I am glad that it is over. I have a feeling that Culpepper's days as a dolphin might just be numbered.

Coach is allergic to solid quarterbacks... they cause a rash of expectations, and decrease plausible deniability. 8)

haha cleo lemon backs him up.. but trent green is no good any more.. hes way past his prime. hes not going to do that well with the dolphins. those times where he passed for 4000 yards for so many seasons where a product of the al saunders offense i think.. but who knows im not some NFL expert.. we'll see what happends with this

Cleo Lemon is actually pretty good. I saw him play last year and also in SD a few years ago. Just a funny name but talented.

Ummmm... what offense does Cam Cameron use? Hello! Same coaching tree... This offense is tailor made for Green.

They drafted John Beck and there is also Cleo Lemon who is pretty good. He started a few games last year.

Dude Green sucks. A healthy Dante is much better than an old washed up Trent Green. I am going to laugh when miami just stinks it up. Trent Green has never been more than just a journeyman QB. He is a good guy and all, I am just speaking in terms of his QB play.

Another reason why he will fail in Miami is this, KC had a decent Oline, Miami does not.

Trent Green should not have left Washington when he did. We should have kept him. We would have been much better off as a team with him, probably not great but not as bad a stinker either. I wish him well.

Exactly - was a mistake to get rid of him. :(

I think my dad used to root for him but I can't really remeber. I honestly doubt Green would have reached the level he has under some of situations present at the time and shortly thereafter his tenure.

You're drunk. 112 games palyed, career 61% completion, 157 TDs and 101 INTs, with 26983 passing yards. 3 years over 4000 yards passing.

Those aren't journeyman numbers. He's had a very good career as a QB, but at 37, compounded by the injuries he's had lately, he's not that good anymore imho.

Oh yeah, and before you talk about Daunte versus Trent, tell me who Trent had at WR to throw the ball to? Daunte had both Cris Carter and a young Randy Moss. Trent had...Johnnie Morton?

And you're not.

Have you ever heard of a guy named Tony Gonzales? Or how about Priest Holmes? Priest actually lead the league in rushing yards one year and actually was among the top ten running backs in the league for a few years.

Anyhow Trent Green just never wins in the Post season. I mean come on the guy has stats and all but its all about the hardware when its said and done.

And please Trent vs Dante? Trent Green is like a statue in the pocket he is like Drew Bledsoe with a slightly weaker arm.

Mark my words Cullpepper will have a better season this year than Green will.

Miami is out of there minds if they think that Trent Green is actually going to help there team this year.

How do you get rid of a young former Pro Bowl Qb? In Favor of aquiring a 37 year old Qb coming off a major injury?

It is stupidity and is why they will lose this year. Why let go of Dante so soon? They should just wait and see and let them compete for the job. But no they are stupid. LOL
