I'm Gone Fellas

I'm getting on a plane in a couple of days to head over to the mid-east to do my tour in the Sandbox.

Albeit, I've only been lurking here lately, it’s been a pleasure to come to your site and trash talk Cowboys-Redskins with you guys. I now, I'm seen as an antagonist around here, but, its all fun... right??

Anyway, I may or may not be back before the first Boys-Skins game, so I’ll catch you guys later.

Eh, it's nice to find a Cowboys fan who isn't totally retarded.
In all seriousness, best of luck to you and, please, stay in touch.

I take it you're a Marine with the possibility of a short deployment. Team allegience aside, stay safe and Semper Fi. Make it back safe so we can rub the season sweep in your face when you get back. ;-)

Hoooah, or hooorah, depending on whether you where a light tan tee-shirt or a dark green one.

Good luck, and good luck to all of your battle-buddies. Many, many of us on this list feel a stab in the gut every time we see that someone has been hurt.

Don't eat the food, drink the water, or talk to the locals.

Good luck.

I've already had a whirlwind tour through Kyrgystan, Afghanistan, and Qatar and now I'm finally settled in Qatar for the time being. I've had a chance to meet and talk with a bunch of Army Infantry and I gotta say, I'll no longer berate those fellas. Those guys go through death and casualties on a daily basis, and surprisingley can still keep a tongue in cheek about it all. I'd lose my mind personally.

I'm an Air Force Tactical Weather Systems Technician BTW.

Hey UK, I've also worked with a couple of the Queen's finest out here as well. Great chaps they are. They've also got the better pubs in thier compound!!

 I guess the Middle East is a great place for keeping the beer warm. :)
And I bet those pubs do a pretty mean steak and kidney pie.

HA, funny

And you are doing what for your country? 8)

and no, I'm not the run-of-the-mill Air Force guys who sit around on thier computers all day on message forums.......... damn...

Actually, I work with the Combat Weather folks attached to the Arrmy Infantry Units. It would scare the daylights out of most desk-flying Air Force members.
