Heard on Sirius NFL's Afternoon Drive that Rogers spent much of the off season getting coached up by Darrell Green and Dieon Sanders. Anybody hear this from other sources?

I did on ESPN radio but they just said Green. I hope so cause he kind of needs it.

I heard they brought his dad to play catch with him.

God, I hope not. I would think his dad is at least partly responsible for CR's clay hands.

Wow. That is a lot of dropped balls!

DG was a great corner but would have had twice as many INTs if he could catch!

Hopefully CR has been working with Santana to learn how to catch.

yeah...carlos said that he was going to work with deion and dg this offseason back right after the season ended...

Hopefully just Darrell Green is working with him........Deion was nothing but a debacle here and his stupid antics are wearing thin on the NFL network......watch I bet dude loses his job just like Mike Irvin

If its true that he's working with Deon then we should cut his ass! Deon is a cancer for the Redskins and anything that is assocaited with the cancer has to go!

I'm glad he's working with both Deoin on Green. He couldn't have picked two better DB's to learn from.

I'm very happy to hear that.. it shows hes commited to becoming a great DB and the fact that hes working with both Darrell Green and Prime Time is a great thing.. you all can judge Prime from the time he was here and say he was no good for the Organization because yes he was at the end of his career but in terms of mentoring young players well thats a major plus.. theres no one better for the job.. these young DB's really look upto him and he always is willing to help them out.. I expect big things from Rogers this year.. Alot of you Rogers haters will have your foots in your mouth

By spending time with two of the best corners of all time, you would think that he would have to pick up some stuff that would improve his game. These two guys have seen it all and Carlos had better take advantage of this great opportunity.

exactly... =D>

people on here are acting as if deion was never any good....the guy still had 4 picks with us his last year in the league...before taking a few years off and coming back to the ravens

he said he was wanting to work on his hands and deion is probably the best guy there is to have help you with catch the ball...look at his career interception numbers...they're ridiculous

5 seasons of 5 or more picks and every season has had atleast one...including rookie season and the so called "horrible, messing up our organization" years

Let's just hope he doesn't learn how to tackle from Deion!

I'm just glad that he is seeking help to become better. Alot of pro athletes let their pride get in the way of their own success.

So he's learning from 2 of the fastest corners to ever play the game? It's been said before but you can't coach speed!

Deion is the best cover corner of all time. In my humble opinion.

There were times when teams would just ignore the side that Deion was on. He wasnt much of a tackler but no one would dare throw to his side.

Darrell Green is also amongst the best of all time and arguable the best overall corner of all time. Numerous fastest man in the league. Multi Superbowl winner.

These are two of the best and it is a good thing that they are helping out Carlos Rogers.

This can only be a plus for Rogers. He makes a couple INT's in the early part of the season and all the haters will forget about his dropped balls last year.

What about the fact that two of the best ever CB's are even taking an interest in this kid? You don't see them taking Terrence Newman to the side.

Finally, a point HAMO and I can agree completely on. In his prime, Deion, love him or hate him, was peerless as a pure cover corner. For most quarterbacks, his side of the field simply did not exist, as was the case for much of DG's career.

He is also known to be an excellent teacher. The haters need to spend some time watching film. Fortunately, I don't think Carlos was asking him for help with tackling or run defense.

Terrence Newman wasn't a Redskin

That's exactly right.

I actually feel pretty good right now about our secondary. My 2 cents

I believe some are underestimating the value Carlos will bring and the talent he already possess. They will help him fine tune his skills and Carlos will benefit greatly from that. And Chad is right, the fact that Sanders and Green are taking him under their wings should tell us that they see potential in the kid and want to see him shine like they think he can with a little extra tutoring. He was great in college and I bet this will be his breakout year.

I also would bet that Springs will walk in to camp in arguably the best shape we've seen him in since he's been a Redskin. I think he has something to prove and he wants to make a statement. Who's got one of the best safety tandems in the league? Thaaaat's right! Taylor and Landry are going to be something special to watch. Sprinkle that will a bit of Smoot and Macklin, and I think we're going to see a much different secondary this year.

My 2 cents 8-[

Some would say neither was Deon.
