Will be hosted by Dallas.
They just announced it on ESPN (TV)!

I still hate that team, but I have to admit, that new stadium seems pretty cool. Too bad it's going to be wasted on such a dreadful team!!

Well, at least we know that they still won't get home field advantage.

It's a cool stadium, can't say I blame them.
Who would want to go to a superbowl in a stadium with analog screens and no replays?

Dallas?! Why should they get the Superbowl?
Hell, they don't even have a football team.

I live about ten minutes from the new stadium and I drive by the construction site every day...
And that sucker is a MONSTER.
Click here to take a look at the new place. Be sure to click on the fly-thru, too.
If it's anything like they're advertising, it's gonna rule.
Now...
Consider this...
Suppose that in 2011 after four years of hype and build-up...
That the NFC's representative in the Superbowl in the new Cowboys Stadium winds up being...
The Washington Redskins.
Imagine them painting one of the endzones burgundy and gold.
And over half the people in the place in those same colors.
My God. If they make that happen and then don't make the playoffs for another decade, I won't say a word.
Ripping their hearts out on Monday Night Football when Aikman, Irvin and Emmitt went into their Ring of Honor was wonderful...
But a Superbowl appearance on the Cowboys' home field? On their hallowed ground?
Too perfect.

Interestng thought there Judge. That would be a pretty signifigant event for the sake of rivalry, but alas, the rivalry only truly exists in the minds of Redskin fans.
The Eagles, Giants, and Steelers would all feel the exact same way I'm sure.
Why do you think it took 4 votes to get this thing done? There are plenty of teams that have deep rooted hate for Dallas, even when the choice in this situation was obvious. A Billion Dollar stadium that holds 100,000 and 205 reserved suites for NFL use. Compare that to the Indy deal of maybe 65-70K seats and 150 reserved seats. Should have been a no brainer.
Wait, the Redskins reaching the Superbowl? Is Dan Snyder going to sell to the team to someone who knows what he's doing? Hard to think Gibbs would stick around that long as well.
To be fair, it is five years away anything can and will happen.
Who knows, the Lions may be a dominating force by then. Wait, scratch that.
I'm surprised TC hasn't tried to jump on this one yet.
Wait, annoying comment in 3.....2.....1

Building a stadium is the only way ttiT will envolved in a Superbowl.
You haven't even made the playoffs in the last ten years without getting in with a wildcard. Then that's the end of the road for you guys.
Can you say you've actually won anything in the past 10 years that gives you grounds to talk? Didn't think so.
Was that annoying enough?
If not think about the fact that by the time the new stadium is built my statements will still hold true.
There that should do it

Trample, pounce, smash, destroy and these are just a few of my favorite
things..Any ways couldn't be happier to see us finally getting a super bowl
bid. and allowing us to showcase a stadium that is worthy of the hype that
has been made about it..Of all the super bowls that have been played this
will be the sweetest one of them all

This is to good to pass up, you ladies can ignore the past but until you
show me where a real team..can step up and be the Triplets of this 00
century. You are gonna have to live with the reality of knowing nothing
in the NOW, can hold the jock strap of the great Triplets who hold this
divisions ONLY super bowl victory since 1995

Yeah but Puke fans mocked us for living in the past. Now you're living in the past, thats hypocritical.
I'll tell you this, right now you guys are just as bad as we are. You've been just as horrible as we've been. Keep holding onto 1995 like it was last year. Nobody cares anymore.

Let's try keep this on-topic folks... the thread is about the 2011 Super Bowl.
We don't need to make it a Redskins vs Cowboys thread... we have plenty of them... or a new one can be started... but let's keep this thread about the 2011 Super Bowl like the thread says.
Much obliged.

Then if teams today are so good, answer me this..why hasn't the Skins,
Giants or E-Girls won a super bowl since Dallas last did it? this proves if
none of those teams have been good enough to win a championship since
Dallas last did it 10 years ago..Then NOBODY in this division is worthy of
talking like what they did even matters

Sweet! Winning the 2011 SB will be awesome!!!
It'll be like the night we crashed the Triplets "Ring of Honor" homecoming celebration. Of course, the Pies will be watching from the skyboxes, while the Skins steam roll the AFC chumps.
Here's a glimpse of what our celebration will look like in Dallas on Super Bowl Sunday 2011:

No, it did not, I'm not debating this. Consider this an official warning.

Mark my words, at the end of the 2011 Super Bowl, this'll be one of the images we will see:

That is the celebration of the players rejoicing over Gibbs going back
to retirement where he belongs

2011 is a few seasons away. Redskins have to focus. They know what it's like to win one.
What's interesting is no host city had it's team there, did they?
I see Dallas having too much termoil to deal with and they may live in the basement for seasons to come.

Dallas can become the first to have that
happen and I can't wait
