Rocky McIntosh has reportedly been told he will be a starter this season.

Lemar Marshall is currently the odd man out, with London Fletcher in the middle, McIntosh on the weak side, and Marcus Washington at SLB. McIntosh could be a nice fantasy option in IDP leagues.

Marcus Washington (hip) started participating in some individual drills at Redskins OTAs.

He's still not ready for full-squad work. Hip surgery is nearly always very serious, so Washington probably won't be the same player as he once was to open 2007.

Santana Moss continues to sit out OTA work with a groin injury.

The Redskins say it is minor, but the team doesn't want to take any chances.

Lemar will fill Marcus' spot if he can't play.

However, I think we're going to see a lot of 4-4 D this year with 4 LB's and one Safety, so we can break in Landry slowly.

Marshall call play every LB position so he may be one of the most valuable players on defense.

I don't think there is anyway we would have 4 lb's to 1 safety..

don't you think if we wanted to break in Landry slowly...it would be to allow him to play with another safety and not have to cover the whole deep part of the secondary?

I think the easiest and best way to help him learn is to have Taylor out there with him...then he can learn to blitz while knowing there is somebody behind him in coverage...or to know what areas to cover instead of having just him alone back there and getting lost in the beginning of the season
