Why do they have to have Romo?

Biggest 2 things I saw from this game was ...
Vincent and Rogers got burrrrnt for a td only Owens dropped it, we cant expect that to happen often. And 2 romo/witten torched Archuleta for position to win the game, I'm hoping Landry can cover Witten and put some fear into that big sob.

Right before the safety in the 1st quarter, Dockery gets lit up by a linebacker and we get stuffed on 4th down at the goal line... im glad he's gone

Your glad he is gone because of one play? Doc I thought had one of the best season of his career,I wish he was still here but not for the price Buffalo paid for him.

Agreed, I think he (Dockery) is undervaluing the fact that his best days as a guard were under Bugel

Nobody wants to address the fact Rogers and Vincent couldn't run with owens, he (TO) is obviously faster than those two, here's hoping smoot can cover that guy if not ...well let's just hope.

It won't matter when Landry and Taylor are back there

GW is switching coverage schemes this year more of a "cover 1", so you'll see either a corner or a safety run with TO but you'll have ST lurking in the deep zone. It won't matter if TO catches the ball or not Sean is going to hit him.
How many times can he go through that?

Vincent I think is gone isn't he? What worries me is Carlos Rogers, this guy has underachieved since being paid big dollars (like a truRedskin) and we need him to be the player he's suppossed to be. By all accounts he's at OTA's yes? hopefully he will improve if not Macklin will take his job.

He's on his rookie contract, coming off his sophmore year and not only was there the mystic of the "sophmore" Jinx he played a quarter of the season with a bad hand.
He'll be OK

I don't like NFL network games because where I am at they block the games out. But I can watch NFL total access and the other programming.

The most frustrating thing I remember is Archuleta getting burned by their tight end, witten putting them in position to win the game with a field goal. I am so glad he is gone.....

From watching that game again.................I had forgotten how the refs really tried to screw us over for that game! They missed some obvious calls! Like the pass interference on Portis! We would have had the first down had their linebacker not grabbed portis! Also, that obvious holding call when Griffen would have most definetly gotten a sack instead they got a 20 yard gain!
Freakin refs! They did everything they could to give the momentum to the Cowboys and stop ours! AND WE STILL WON THE GAME!!! Hopefully this year Danny will give in and contribute to the Ref's favorite "charity"!!!

... and RIGHT before that tight end burned Archuletta, I mean the play before, he burned him on the EXACT SAME ROUTE but it fell incomplete. Parcells was laughing after calling "same thing on 2" and having it work.
As for Dockery, we should have signed him long term over a year ago.
... and the Cowboys' best plays in that game were holding plays.
... and we had just muissed a field goal to "win" it, right?

I guess you forgot that Taylor was back there all last season where he gave up huge plays

and don't give me the "he had to cover everything else" stuff because you could say that about Carlos and Vincent too...plus on zone coverage...how can a db get burnt...it's the safeties fault

actually Taylor was used mostly in the box last year if you havent read any of GW comments about the way Taylor had to be used last year.. so he wasnt roaming the deep part of the field like he will be this year..

Yeah but when he did have to cover he bit on so many double moves...and everyone says how carlos got burned non-stop when he only gave up 3 touchdowns all season (plus played zone coverage quite a bit)

He got burnt because he was trying to be in 2 places at once. He was placed lower in the box because he had to carry AA's load. He was too far down in the box to be effective up top.
Let's break it down for you like I did for someone else.
1. Pop in your copy of Madden.
2. Put Taylor down in the box. See how his speed allows him to play both the run and pass pretty decently.
3. Now notice what happens on play action, you're too far down in the box to be able to cover the WR over top. He's fast enough to get close but not close enough.
4. Now play Sean deep in centerfield where he should be and wasn't last year. Do you see how easy it is to discern the play and use his speed to pick off passes.
Yes, it's that simple.

Don't fall for it, steve09ru, CLL is just trying to pull a
reductio ad Madden argument on you.
Come back with anecdotal evidence from the NFL2k series and you'll be fine. . .
