Someone can add the link, its everywhere. This would be a smart pickup if the price is right. Very reliable possession guy, will quash a lot of red zone issues.

After being involved in the draft and wanting the Panthers to draft Dwayne Jarrett.... and now Jarrett takes his job.

Hilarious....

I guess I'm just a "team" kind of guy but why do we need another WR - I think we will see a lot different player in Lloyd this year and with Moss and ARE we have three guys that Campbell is just starting to get to know - Espy is hopefully going to show some improvement. Thrash is a team leader, very reliable and a ST player.

this is another "me first" kind of guy that we do not need.

We just do not really need this guy.

I was wondering how long it'd take b4 some asked the magic question, thankfully it didn't take longer than the 1st post.

Personally I'd like to see the Pats pick him up, lol. It'd be comical.

We have no red zone receivers. Thats why we need him or someone like him.

I think we're pretty stocked at WR, if everyone stays healthy, but still, Keyshawn caught more than our No. 2 and 3 WRs combined last year, so despite his age, he's still got the skills to be a legit 2nd option at WR. He'll no doubt get signed somewhere.

Chris Cooley doesn't count?

I just heard on ESPN that the one team that Meshawn might be interested in = the Saints! - They apparently are happy because they just picked up David Patten  and do not think Meshawn who is 34 is worth anything more than the "basic" and Meshawn (obviously) thinks he is worth a lot more than that.

IMO Keyshawn could come in and give us the weapon we lack alongside Moss. Honestly, I hate the guy's attitude, but he's a reliable player who makes the big catch when you need him to and is about 5 inches taller than the average DB. He'd be a solid pickup for the right price, but definitely not for a RICH contract (i.e. B-Lloyd or even Donte Stallworth with the Pats). It'll be interesting to see if we give him a call, I hope we do get him. He could develop a very solid relationship with Coach Gibbs and could definitely help us go places.mju21`

Everyone is forgetting that Meshawn is a locker room cancer. I can see us signing him, and he not enjoying his role. I want to give Lloyd and Randle El another shot. Jeez we gave them enough money. Lets see how they do with Campbell under center from the get-go.

hes older now.. i grown man. if we did, not that i think we need help with our wide outs, but if we did get him i would not be opposed to it based on his past locker room transgressions. hes learned a lot about being a #2 reciever. i think if we did get him hed be a valuable slot guy. get receptions and some first downs.. open up the field on the sides and for moss and lloyd in the endzone. but i doubt we pick him up. no need to spend that extra cash when we have such a stellar corps as it is.

if we got him he would play. He's way out of lloyd and randle el's league as a receiver. And he's probly less of a cancer than lloyd.

Why do you root for a team you don't like?

I'm just curious who is going to get cut? Thrash, one of our best Special Teamers? We have Moss, Randle El, Thrash, Lloyd and I believe Mike Espy fills the last spot. He is cheap. Why bring in a guy who will require 3 times his price. Not to mention he plays special teams which Keyshawn doesn't. Don't do it.

I see him in Green Bay or San Diego.

Why do i have to like all the personnel on the team? I do like a lot of them and i do watch every game and post on here and even put too many skins on my fantasy team. I am however not fond of how much money was spent on two marginal receivers. Aren't i entitled to an opinion? Why don't I do what everybody here wants me to do, besides shut up lol. Philip Daniels is the healthiest, most pass rushingest thing in the history of the NFL! and Cornelius Griffin is not feeble whatsoever! Brandon Lloyd is a td catching machine! ARE is a physical receiver! Renaldo Wynn should still be in the league! Ladell Betts can't hold Clinton Portis' jock strap! GO SKINS!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

There are a few problems with this, age, cap, and roster spot.

Age. I believe Keyshawn is turning 35ish or something and if we are going to have him come in as a possession receiver, his body isn't going to be able to take the hits.

Cap: Last time I checked, we were only about 5m under the cap. Once injuries hit during training camp, keyshawn will get paid. And as quoted in another post, he did not receive a 3 million roster bonus.

Lastly, Roster Spot: We have Moss, Randle El, and Lloyd as our top 3. Then we have James Thrash and Mike Espy who both play Special Teams and Succeed as well. Who do you think we should cut to make room for Keyshawn, someone who does not play teams?
After applying logic to this idea, it logically doesn't make sense for the Redskins to even consider bringing him in at any cost. There are more pressing needs for washington and they are better suited to use their time scouting young defensive and offensive reserve lineman at this point.

I don't know. I think that he may do something for Favre once in his career.
