With the draft approaching. We have a few picks. Many needs.

But if you sit back and look at things for a second.

We are only one year removed from the playoffs. Our defense was once a stellar unit. So I ask what could have changed so much that a 11-6 team could turn into a 5-11 team?

Well I really think Gibbs is headed in the right direction.

we aquired Smoot who we know is good in coverage a little weak as a tackler but is a darn good cover corner.

We also got Fletcher a smart and saavy MLB who will help make sure our defenders are in the right spot.

We still have Taylor, Washington , and Marshall who are all solid.

Our Defensive line was injured most of last season so I think a healthy
Griffin , Salavea and Golston will take care of DT.

The only real glaring weakness we have is at DE.

In all honesty this is our only real weakness when all our guys are healthy.

Who knew Ladell Betts would turn out to be a stud? So we now have two good running backs.

In all honesty we are not that bad as far as talent goes. Only question is can we put it all together?

I am sure if Griff, Golston and Salavea stay healthy we are fine at DT.

DE is the only real glaring weakness.

SS is another position of concern but we did aquire some veteran help.

I know our team Defense will look similar to 05 next year. I just wish we could have Arrington back then we would really be good. But hey cant always get want you want.

All in all we are actually in a good position to make a playoff run this year.
Our problems stemmed from not being able to stuff the run. With a healthy Griff, Golston and Salavea will take care of that.

If you are not convinced then repeat this one sentence and I promise you at least one moment of happiness. OK you ready.

Mark Brunell is no longer our starting quarterback!!!!!! hip hip Hooray!!!!!
Sorry Redeemed this message is not for you. See you at the bandwagon.

I like the position we are in right now. Let everyone talk bad about the skins. Last year many people were saying we were super bowl contenders and we filled all our holes in free agency. Our defense was so good and AA would make it better. The offense added the receivers it needed to get over the hump. The only question was if Brunell could last the yaer. Well, we all know the results......uuuuugh!

Now, everyone (but us loyal skins fans) have written us off already this year. I love it! We will surprise a lot of people this year and the players will work harder becasue no one respects the skins due to last year's record. Last yaer it seemed like the skins entered the season too confident. This year we will enter the year with something to prove.

No problem. I'm also excited to see what Jason can do with a full season this year (as opposed to last, when MB was coming off a great year). Mark had his time, and now it's Jason's. Good thing we have him as a mentor to Jason, though.

Well good point. MB had flashes of greatness. He will be a good mentor to J.C . this season.

His best advice to Campbell would be, "Don't get hurt." :)
