He still feels he can play - be interesting to see if anyone wants to take a chance with this guy.

Like us!
No really though, I don't want him now that we have Fletcher, but Al Wilson is a beast and despite his age he can still ball with the best of them.

And this was the guy they allegedly offered us to trade up to #6? Would that have been a dumb trade?! This is one reason why a little patience can really help in the offseason. We don't need him, but he just became available without giving away a high draft pick.

I do not think that we need him but the Giants were going to trade for him and he failed a physical there and the trade was called off - I think he's a risk but I also think that he feels he can help someone.
IMO - he's got more chance of playing and helping a team than Arrington.

he could give us good depth if any of our guys were to go down in the season

he would only be a risk if someone sign him t o a big contract and made him their feature LB; and no one will do that. I think e will be a solid pickup for someone looking for a proven player that is complimentary at this point.

Big Al Wilson almost single handedly willed the
Big Orange to National Championship glory in 1998. He is my all time favorite Tennessee Volunteer and will be forever revered in the great state of Tennessee as a true Champion in every sense of the word. His leadership is un-matched and he is superior in every way to all players, regardless of age, injury, speed, or position. He eats nails and pisses FIIIIRRRE down upon anyone who gets in his way, and they thank him when he's done relieving his thunder bladder on their head. If you need someone to leap that tall building with a single bound or run faster than a speeding bullet, Captain Wilson is your man.
If we signed him for cheap, I'd love it.

as long as Captain Wilson signs an incentive laden contract that protects us against him reinjuring himself, I'm all for it
