Oh well, Wade will have to be the man.
Lions agree with guards
March 25, 2007
The Lions agreed to a three-year deal with offensive guard Edwin Mulitalo, a Lions official confirmed Saturday.
Mulitalo, 6-foot-4 and 350 pounds, was a seven-year starter for the Baltimore Ravens before recently being released.

Mulitalo only started four games in 2006 after suffering a torn right tricep. In 2003, Mulitalo was voted to the Pro Bowl as an alternate.
The Lions also reportedly agreed to a one-year deal with free-agent guard Zach Piller on Friday. Piller, 6-5, 321, has been hindered by injuries for much of the past three seasons and recently was released by the Tennessee Titans. He played in just one game in 2004 and three in 2006.
It is unclear if the moves signify that Lions starting guard Damien Woody could be released.
Draft buzz
The latest buzz on three players the Lions could select with the No. 2 overall pick in April's draft:
WR Calvin Johnson, Georgia Tech: Some are already predicting the Lions will take Johnson if he's available at No. 2. Jon Kitna and Roy Williams publicly campaigned for him, but would Matt Millen take the chance in using another first-round pick (fourth in five years) on a wideout?
OT Joe Thomas, Wisconsin: Reggie McKenzie, the Packers' pro personnel director, recently told the Capital Times, "I don't want Detroit to get (Thomas)."
QB Brady Quinn, Notre Dame: On Thursday, Quinn met with Millen and Rod Marinelli. Are the Lions really interested or are they feigning it so other teams try to move up and get the No. 2 pick?
Report: Lions show interest in QB Green
Millen will speak with the Chiefs about acquiring quarterback Trent Green, the Kansas City Star reported Saturday.
But signs are mounting that the Chiefs will trade Green to Miami. And the Star reported a deal between the Chiefs and Dolphins could be reached as soon as today.
Green has worked with Lions offensive coordinator Mike Martz in St. Louis.
