Lions Sign CB Fisher

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Lions sign CB Fisher

March 13, 2007

ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) -- The Detroit Lions on Tuesday signed cornerback Travis Fisher to a one-year deal.

The 5-foot-10, 189-pound Fisher is a sixth-year player who was drafted by St. Louis in the second round of the 2002 draft. He has started 53 of the 56 games he has played for the Rams the past five seasons.

Last season, Fisher started the first nine games and had 31 tackles (25 solo) and two pass defenses before breaking his arm Nov. 12 against Seattle.

So much for the Redskins getting him...

I'm not sure what to think this year - every time the Redskins pass on a free agent, it feels like a victory. :?
