49ers Sign Clements

The 49ers have signed CB Nate Clements to the biggest contract ever given to a defensive player -- eight years, $80 million, including $22 million guaranteed.

That's sick. I can't believe they gave him that much. And they talk about the Skins overpaying for players in free agency. :roll:

I'm really glad the Skins decided to pass on him, at that price anyway.

Yeah thats what I'm talking about. The 49ers and their fans always bash the Redskins for over spending. I think the 49ers just screwed themselves. The 49ers have over 130 million tied up into 2 players. Alex Smith and Nate Clements. I'm glad as well that the Redskins didn't sign Nate Clements for that kind of money.

The Skins spent $90 Million on three players last year and got hammered for giving out $30M contracts....

$80,000,000.00 WOW!!!
