Real Travesty. No Hogs in the Hall of Fame

While my brain is still trying to wrap itself around Monk not being in the Hall of Fame yet, the thing that really bugs the hell out of me is that no Hogs are Hall of Famers.
How can no one from the most dominant line from the 1980's be voted in yet?
There were 3 things consistent in the 3 SuperBowl victory seasons. Joe Gibbs, Art Monk, and the offensive line. Especially Grimm and Jacoby (Lachey was amazing, but imho his career was a bit too short).
Now I know that offensive linemen rarely get voted in. Even though 5 start every game...whereas there is 1 primary RB and 1 QB, the number of QBs, RBs, and OL is pretty close to equal in the Hall of Fame. I guess you can't just pull down gaudy numbers from pro-football-reference on linemen to argue.
But even still. How can Grimm not be in the hall of fame? That's just crazy.

It's the lesson of Art v. Michael. Flash gets you in. Not teamwork.

Dude! The Hall of Fame isn't what it once was! It takes putting yourself in the spot light to get you in........50 bucks says TO will be in the hall before Monk.
It doesn't take Teamwork, dedication, consistency, and just kicking your opponents ass week in and week out. It used to, but not anymore. All it takes to get you in is average numbers and a spot light........take a look at Irvin if you don't believe me!

Riggins is in the hall and that speaks allot for the HOGS. But yes, at minimum Grimm should get in, along with Jacoby.
Other Skins that belong:
Jack Kent Cooke
D Green
A Monk
B Mitchell - lead the NFL in return yards when he retired, right? I know Special Teamers rarely get in but he played at a high level for a decade and was the sole Skins bright spot for a few years.

Sadly I think that might be in doubt, I think his candidacy will be a true test of the extent to which Snyder has poisoned the waters. Note, I am not blaming Snyder but I do think he is having a pretty significant, negative, impact

Green was far more media-friendly, even though he's faded more into the background since his retirement. I think we'll see him get in within his first 1-3 years on the ballot.
(Having said that, I never presume that the voters will be that concerned with doing the right thing).

You might have a point there, flexi straw!
Snyder might also have an impact on another future puke HOF self promoting quasi player. I'm sure that Snyder's financial contribution to D Sanders only helped this idiot's flair for the ridiculous and that should get him in right there! Can anyone forget that outfit in burgundy that neon showed up in? I wish I could

Well they can't say D. Green doesn't have a signature play - chasing down Tony Dorsett on Monday Night Football is just one of many.
Grimm and Jacoby should be in . . . will it happen, we all hope, but I am losing interest thanks to M. Irvin's arrival.

I'd have guessed Monk was first ballot material as well, but here we are . . .

Why don't we start our own hall of fame? Because the one in Canton isn't working.

Of course, our friends in the press really have trouble evaluating offensive lineman, because they don't have all those lovely stats to use (or in the case of Art Monk, all those lovely stats to disregard). So they have to rely upon things like; how many pro bowls did they go to? As we know, that's a flawed process anyway, so using such a stat to establish hof credentials simply compounds the error.
Actually, I don't think there are anywhere near enough linemen in the hall. Surely, there should be five times as many linemen as there are quarterbacks? And what about kickers? If we're judging the best of the best, why is there only one kicker in there? Common sense suggests that there should be as many kickers as quarterbacks. Linemen, kickers, punters are all under-represented in the hall.
Mark Moseley for the hof, I say!

Bostic never gets the credit he should get either!

Bostic never gets the credit he should get either!
I was just about to write that Gibbs won three SB's with:
3 different QBs
3 different prime RBs
ONE center.
Of course, Big Joe played OL on all three, but he had moved from LT by SB 26.
(In fact, just remember that With Len Hauss and Jeff Bostic, the Redskins had two, and only two, regular centers from the early '60s until the early 90's. Thirty years. That counts whoever played in, say, 1979, as just a fill-in. Whoever he was, you'd have to be a meticulous roster-scanner to find him.)
