All you have to do is agree to buy club seats for 3 years!! Yep…Dan Snyder’s new idea this year.
I got a call from the Redskins asking if I was interested in upgrading my seats to the lower level. I of course I said yes, she says great news we can now offer you lower level seating if you commit to 3 years in the club level at a price of $2600-$4400 per seat!! And come 2010 you’ll be in the lower level. I politely declined, It took all I had not to tell her what I really thought. She’s only the messenger.

Thanks again Dan for allowing the “faithful” fans to have a shot at better seats, does your greed have no boundaries?? You now have me thinking about giving up my season tickets!!

Wow, thats sad.
I have no problem with a guy doing business but he is out of control.
It's a catch 22 - the only way to show your disatisfaction is to not support his product, but that would be giving up something you take seriously and are devoted to.
Sucks that Fans have to take it.

....and if you want dream seats, you have to commit to 10 years. Wow.

Sorry guys but I love the skins but its like being in an abusive relationship. You just keep taking it and let it happen b/c you know that you will give up so much that you have invested into. But until you do make a change, nothing is going to happen.
If I lived in DC, with all that you have said, I would not get season tix's. It just seems like they do everything to get more juice from the orange. I'm the type of person that says that if you have clients who are faithful, give them a break. They will stay with you longer. Its a way to show that you are loyal to them as well.

Snyder needs to do some research on client relations.

Fans don't have to take it - you can always watch the games from home. I consider myself a serious fan, but I rarely attend games, and cost is a huge part of the reason why. Otherwise, you're only reinforcing Snyder's belief that he can contiue raising prices indiscriminately, because people will continue to pay the ever-rising costs.

The only silver lining I can see in this "arrangement", is that "REAL" fans (the ones who've complained about the "non-fans" in the yellow seats) have an oportunity to "walk the talk" by filling up the golden abyss that are the club seats on Game Day.

While, yes, there is a bit of defiance in my post to those who constantly complain (or judge) club-levelers -- depending on your perpective -- now have a golden opportunity (pun intended) to show us how it's done. If they can show up for three years, and set the standard, then heck yeah, they should be in the lower bowl. My 2 cents

BTW - I am not a fan of paying that much for seats, especially when that means many families might go into debt on account of the Redskins.

If everyone said "I am not buying tickets I'll watch the game at home", then no one would be able to watch the game at home - because of the NFL blackout rules! Snyder has decades of people on the waiting list.

My question is, "How can he guarantee that there would be lower level seats available in 3 years?" What is he going to do, kick people out of their seats. And what happens if you don't like the seats that are offered to you on the lower level? You have already given up your upper level seats. So do you have to renew the club level?

The only lower level seats I have had have been in the corner or the back of the end zone and I preferred the upper level seats I had one time on the 35 yard line. You can see the game better up high and near mid-field.

I know about the blackout rules, thanks. But those don't apply to the "Sunday Ticket" package (maybe I'm wrong on this) which, if you can get it, is still cheaper than any season ticket package. Besides, if Snyder ever actually faced the possibility of a game not selling out, I'm sure you'd see some ticket discounting in a hurry.

Great Question...Here's my theory. Every year we (season ticket) holders get emails about how the Skins have "extra" tickets turned back into them from the visiting team...I say this is BS, yes they might have a few. Ttwo years ago I brought two tickets 15 rows up on the forty behind the Skins bench the night before the game!! I was surrounded by Eagles fan who told me they did the same! I think these are the seat the DS "hold back" for peple who pay a premium to get lower seats!

Too many people have a false vision of what 'the Redskins experience' is. And even if I had the money, I wouldn't buy the experience that Snyder is selling.

Having Redskins tickets isn't the social status symbol it used to be.

However, as was posted previously, I need to hang my hat on having 90,000+ people buy into the myth so that the games sell out and I can watch at home.

Checking out from Paradox City ....

Its BS I agree. My friend who had 3 upper level seats "bit the bullet" and purchased 2 club level seats so he can get to lower level faster. It sucks b/c going to the game with at least 2 other people is alot better IMHO.

not to mention the extreme hosing financially you go through with club seats for a 5-11 team.

I am 80% sure I am not renewing my 4 seats for next year. I see it getting alot worse before it gets better.

I bit on this deal. I needed to get my 4 seats together and this was the only way ,that I knew of, to get them.
