Steve Czaban brought up Walt Harris on Foxradio this morning. Best year of his career this year with the 49ers:
63 tackles
4 forced fumbles
8 interceptions
8 ints. The Redskins had what 12 takeaways all year? Ouch.

Big deal. The guy sucked when he was here, so what is the point?

Your right that he sucked when he was here, but that is only until we played the Cowboys! He looked like a probowl corner when we played Dallas!

Big deal? The guy had a pro bowl season so stop hating. Maybe the problem wasn't him when he was here......hmmmmm

No, the problem was definitely him, nor am I particularly interested in bringing in a CB who will be 33-years-old when the season starts

Never said bring him in, just give him his due respect...he had a great season and we sure could have used the help in the secondary this year. Another example of letting players with value slip away.

I thought Walt Harris was a good nickel back and even played decent at times at the 2nd spot. I believe the problem with him and why they released him was his salary. Once Rogers stepped up last season Harris was getting too much to be a 3rd guy.

Actually, I repeatedly stated that I thought getting rid of Walt Harris was a mistake. People here kept heaping the blame on him. But his cap hit was high and he was getting old, so I didn't get upset when he left. But yes, you could have seen this coming.
