Washington Redskins Team Needs - DE, CB, MLB, OLBy:
Greg DavisDefensive Line - DL Free Agents | DL Draft Prospects
A talent upgrade at defensive end will give the Redskins much needed improvement for the attack in the trenches. Andre Carter is not consistent enough in applying pressure, and on the right side, Phillip Daniels will be thirty-four and has also not impressed with his play. The defense as a whole will be aided by the addition of quality talent here.
Cornerback - DB Free Agents | DB Draft Prospects
At cornerback, Shawn Springs is now into his thirties, and the team will look to find depth for now and the future. Carlos Rogers is young and still learning the game at the NFL level, but overall, the pass defense hasn’t lived up to expectations. They’ve drafted well in the secondary, but have seen the likes of Fred Smoot leave in the recent past. Changes are in store, and it may just be a matter of time before new talent is given a chance to win a starting cornerback role.
Linebacker - LB Free Agents | LB Draft Prospects
Another defensive concern will be at middle linebacker. Lemar Marshall has been solid in the middle, but the thirty-year old is not the answer for the future, and Washington will look to add a young play-maker that can hold down the position for years to come. With little talent after Marshall, it should surprise no one to see the ‘Skins make a move to bring in a player via the draft.
Offensive Line - OL Free Agents | OL Draft Prospects
On offense, the line will need depth as tackle Jon Jansen and guard Randy Thomas—both soon to be thirty-one—aren’t getting any younger. They may have some good seasons left in them, but the team will need to plan now in order to prepare for a future without their aging veterans. Also, injuries can be combated with some additions here; the line as a whole isn’t “old” but the unit does lack important depth.

These would be the right areas to focus. Though on the D line if we have Carter, Wynn and Daniels it seems to me a quality DT would be the priority. More pressure up the middle could help out ends too. I'm optimistic AC will continue to improve. Certainly a young DE would be good to get, but a monster high pick DT to pair with Griffen could generate a lot of pressure and make it easier on the ends to get penetration.

A true middle linebacker would be great, as it would allow Marshall to move back to the outside, effectivley upgrading two positions.

I like the Oline depth, CB help, and Dline upgrades. I think that if we focus on these areas we will be good to go.

Ok , guys I am here to pimp Jamal Anderson at 6'6 280lbs, has good pass rush moves and is a good run stuffer. He plays for Arkansas and is playing right now. So just watch this kid....we Have to get him, might be gone in the second round.

I think we can better address CB in free agency and we dont' need a top 10 draft pick on the O line, but we can sign some depth and young prospects. That's why I like the discussion of DT in the draft with out top 10 pick.
We could use a natural middle linebacker too, but I don't think again we want to use our top pick on that. There should be some great D line players when we pick.

Problem is that this is the exact same needs that we have had for two years....and we haven't done anything yet.
I'm telling you this years FA class is going to be weaker than usual. So don't expect to find that much in free agency this year.

Most teams have more than enough Cap space to re-sign the big name free agents so if they don't stay with thier current team that might tell you something.
We need help from free agency but maybe this year we can get it with out the splash that comes with the big name. Carter and AA both said the money effected how they approched this season that should tell "the Danny" something also
