Brandon Lloyd's Status for 2007

Brandon Lloyd was inactive for Saturday's game . The report was he was ill. Was he ill, or is he still in JG's doghouse as a result of his helmet throwing incident? He has not started a game since the incident, and will he be back next season, or will the team cut ties with him? It would be a cap disaster to cut him and Archuleta.

I really don't know about this guy. I read what BossHog and JansenFan have to say about him, and it's all good. But the stuff I've read about him today in the Post is pretty damning. OK, so it is the Post, and they have their agenda, but there's enough mud being thrown at Lloyd at the moment for there to be some truth in some of it.
I believe he'll be back, and I believe he'll be better. But I still have my fuzzy new year head on at the moment.

He will definatly be back. I also have a feeling that Arch will be back. I think it has more to do with the cap. We were not prepared for that.

Two things...
Brandon Lloyd will be back for a couple of reasons. Firstly because he's a better 2nd receiver than anybody else this team could potentially bring in and secondly because the receiver position isn't a concern right now. This team has too many wholes to fill, and creating another one, which they'd be doing by cutting Lloyd, would be a bad idea.
There is a better chance that I'll marry Jessica Simpson in the next calendar year than there is that Adam Archuletta comes back. You don't not talk to coaches for months, leak stories to the press, act as a friend-less outcast in the locker room, and come back at the end of the year. It doesn't matter if they had to take a $21 million hit. He'd still be gone.

I think Lloyd is back and I would not be surprised to see AA here also.
I think we see very liitle change on offense, maybe some depth to the line but I do think there will be a lot of thinking about what to do with a number of positions on defense.
I like to hear that both Williams and Gibbs are admitting that they made a lot of mistakes on both personnel, game planning and off season conditioning amongst other things. I do believe these are still 2 very good coaches and they will be making adjustments to how they coach and prepare their players this next year.

IMO....
I've seen the coaches from past and present missue so many of our players that I refuse to write them off right away. I think he'll step it up.

BLloyd threw his helmet.... .... ....

OK that's all I got, did I miss something? I know JG was pissed (in a gentlemanly sort of way), but whendo you give a anyone $30M and cut them for throwing a helmet. It was a dumb move because Jason had seem to be locking on him at certain pints in the game but why would we let him go... on top of him being
a better 2nd receiver than anybody else this team including ARE

They can handle the cap hit if they chose to move on wwithout him, but if we can get a cover safety and play him in the role that was intended why take the cap hit. It could go either way with him.
If I had the chose of marrying Jessica Simpson or bring back AA, I'd sign a shutdown corner at any cost, on 2nd and 3rd downs you'd be subject to seeing whatever Cb that's brougt in along with Springs at safety (but not the reg starter) Rogers or whoever beats him out on the other corner and Sean Taylor playing about 8 yards behind and torwd the center of the field behind AA playing a hybird LB role supporting a real MLB .
Jessica can fight Carrie for Tony Romo

Totally true. Arch and Lloyd's poor seasons give me almost no clue as to their worth. Arch had a ton of tackles and lloyd looked very good when someone tried to throw to him. Remember Arrington on the bench when Holdman was getting stomped, Pierce on the bench and then released, Campbell on the bench while Brunell blew the season. Holdman playing, Rocky sitting.

Brandon Lloyd’s future appears certain to stay in Washington.. Gibbs said the team hopes to get the ball downfield more in general, he also said Lloyd is a “young guy” who figures to have a large role with the team in the future..
Adam Archuletta’s future appears more uncertain, when asked about the safety, Gibbs talked more about the opportunity and play of Vernon Fox and Pierson Prioleau.. Asked if Archuletta would be back, Gibbs said right now the answer is yes.. He said Archuletta did not ask for a trade or release..
