I second that. and NHL 07 is a MUST GET. instead of you using A,B,Y,X for shooting, passing etc. NHL 07 has the right analog stick and you shoot with it and pass with it. Both you HAVE to get. Gears of War has an awesome co play game.

Don't feel bad. It stands for "gamer tag". Its not a common term at all.

Who has Madden
I was wondering how different is Madden on the PS3? Are the controls the same? Obviously, I wouls assume the graphics are better but is there anything else different?

The only thing that is keeping XBOX360 alive is the Halo games.

Anyone who buys a console is just buying something that is already outdated. PC is the way to go for "Best" graphics. Consoles are for what I call casual gamers. PC's are the way to go if you are serious (cash flow is a must) about having the best graphics.

Wrong, there are great franchises on both systems. Sony is losing Grand Theft Auto as an exclusive.

Best graphics?
Who has the best games? Consoles.
GTA comes out on consoles 1st.
Grand Turismo - Sony
Halo comes out on consoles 1st.
Splinter Cell comes out on consoles 1st.
Final Fantasy comes out on consoles 1st.
Metal Gear Solid comes out on consoles 1st.
All of the games worth buying come out on the consoles 1st.
Why spend $3000 on a PC every two years for "better graphics"? The best upgrade PC's offer most of the time are resolution bumps and thats no longer a big deal with 360 and PS3 pushing HD. The only games the push PC's are game designed for the PC initially and those are far and few inbetween.
Who wants to play a game at their computer desk? Living room sofa FTW!

Rember that 360 is on its 2nd generation of games, developers have had more time to learn the architecture (butchered the word).
PS3 is just as capable as 360 and possibly a bit more powerful than 360. The question is which developers will take the time/cost (more than 360) to tap the PS3's potential. The PS2 was powerful but its odd (parallel) design made it hard to code for. Most developers will make a game that doesn't take the strengths from either system and it will be bland (Madden).
PS3 has some games that rival 360's best. Grand Turismo comes to mind, its the best looking racing game thus far.
I love Xbox Live, Sonys wack online mode is horrible.

You make a good point that consoles come out with the better games most of the time. The point of my post was that if you have to have "elite"status, PC is the way to go. The gaming industry tailors to the main stream because that is where they make the most money. The game makers know its easier to buy a honda (console) than a ferrari (PC).
Now don't get me wrong. I am not saying that 360 and PS3 graphics suck. They have nice visuals but in 6 months, PC will be far superior in terms of graphics and graphic power. Yes it is more expensive (you got to pay to play) but it is the "latest and greatest".
A year from now game makers will be limited on what they can do as far as "visuals" on a console. Where as with PC they can be a little more creative using newer technology.
I used to be a big time console gamer up until year and a half ago. I still play my PS2 every once in a while but I just found computer gaming a little closer to what I wanted to achieve.
Plus, with having a g/f that will complain about me on the tv, I can use the computer for my gaming needs. You can also do more with a PC other than just game. Keyboard and mouse is the best "controller" that you can have for FPS (which I like to play). For a game like Madden, I can use my xbox360 controller that I purchased for my pc. You can also do "modding" which can keep a game that has gotten old and keep interesting with new material.
It is all in what you like. I may get an xbox360 or PS3 eventually but that all depends on what games that come out. Consoles are better for having your buddies over for some friendly competition. For what I like to do though (FPS), nothing beats a PC.

Your points are valid in regards to the PC but the price of the PC is what exludes 99% of the population. Not only do you need to spend $3000 on a PC to run games at the best setting, you need to upgrade that PC every 7-14 months with a new GPU ($500+)... Im sorry but thats just insane.
I'd rather have a console that is a closed system. When I purchased a game for my 360 I know that it works with my console. I dont need additional drivers, I wont need to upgrade a thing. I'll know that the developers have tweaked this game to work on my 360 to the best of their abilities.
PC developers have to develop games for EVERY PC out there. From you grandma's 486 to your dual processor G5...

That scalebility is what kills PC games in the graphics departments. Sure, the PC game looks better but how many people will be able to run it at that setting?
Hey, if you can do it, more power to you. But with Live crushing any PC online interface, the gap is narrowing.
I do agree that K/M is superior for FPS gaming.

You are right it is easier to program a game for specific hardware than for various different hardware configurations. The guys that spend 3000 + dollars are for guys that can't build their own PC. Granted, you can run an SLI system that can cost upwards of 3000 and more but that is just for guys who want 1600 * 1200 + resolution with everything at max settings pushing 100+ frames per second. That is just overkill to me but guys do it all of the time.
Most enthusiast PC gamers are insane

. I guess it is a control factor. I, for one, take pleasure in knowing that i pieced together my PC to the best of my ability and I am able to tweak it to extract the most "horsepower". Since I work with computers for a living, I view it as not only a hobby but also helping further my knowledge with my trade. Trust me when I say that PC's are not for the average joe. Work has proven that to me many times over.
The one thing that bugs me about PC is all of the bugs that come out with the launch of a new game. EA takes the gold medal for that one. One thing I can say though is that I don't have to pay for anything like xbox live because online gaming for PC is free (atleast for BF2142 not WoW).
BTW, G5 processors suck. Core2Duo is the only way to go nowadays

. I am about to set myself back another 600 dollars for higher speed ram and a new GPU. Some may call me an idiot but thats what I enjoy. I might even find enough in the budget for an xbox 360 but thats only if the new GTA comes out on it. One day, we will be playing the same game only difference will be is that you will be on console and I will be on PC (atleast that is the rumor from microsoft).
Happy gaming and be sure pwn everyone in your way!
