We need to lose our last game! To better our pick in draft!

Our Skins number one priority hopefully going into the draft should be the Defensive Line. DE,DT we need some young studs in this draft. I heard about Gaines Adams but is he really that good to use our first rounder on? Right now we are in position for the 6th to 8th pick. Our first round pick should be used on a game breaker ala Julius Peppers/Richard Dent/Dexter Manley/ Charles Mann/. If there is a High impact Defensive lineman in this years class we take him in the first round. If not I say we trade down a couple spots in the first round for an additional pick. I say we get Alan Branch from Michigan he is 6-6 330lbs strong, quick, and a stud at DT.

Do we have any picks? I thought we traded them away?

I would rather potentially spoil the Giants playoff hopes with a win. We proved yesterday that we need to keep what we have on offense. Minus TJ (not his fault but hes dead weight here) and we probably need to put the fear of god into our Defense.
Our D line is good but not consistant same with our linebackers. As for Corners I like Carlos but he need more time to become a true number two and Shawn dropped yet another interception yesterday, but I won't kick a man while hes down and I do hope he gets well soon. However CB is the position we need replacments at the most. Fox is turning out to be quite the saftey and Mr Taylor... I don't know how many more years he can last hitting the way he does but I hope he spends all of them in a Redskins Jersey.
All of these issue can be handled in the offseason with SMART free agency hirings and no more Adam Archuletta type deals. Also we need to draft heavly on the Defensive side of the ball, let the guys that are here currently know that they can and potenially will be replaced.

Are you serious? If so, please go back to Dallas where you belong.
A)Why would you want "your team" to lose a home game on primtime so we could have a better first round draft pick
THAT WE OWE TO DENVER
So not only does your post look retarted, but you just embarrased your self by asking for other people to agree with you that the Redskins should lose.

We owe Denver the equivalent of a "high 3rd round pick" if the draft were today swapping picks would be more like us giving them a mid 2nd in other words it ain't gonna happen. Even if we win and Denver loses next week the draft spots will be too far apart for the swap too take place.
Denver will not be swapping no 1s with us

Are you sure man, I thought it was that if we finish with a worse record than Denver, then we swap picks...

I don't mind the thought of loosing next week. Trying some new things to see what works. I want to get the best player possible and if that means taking another loss in an already pathetic season, then I'll take it. I don't really care if people don't agree with this idea but if we get a stud, then people won't have a problem with the idea then.

If we sacrafice one game to get a potential player that might put us over the top then it would be all worth it. Im not asking our team to just lay down. I want Coach Gibbs to rest alot of our starters. I wouldnt mind seeing a win,but if we lose come next Sunday I know our draft pick will be better so its sort of a win win situation. I am thinking of the future not just one meaningless game. So put that in ur pipe and smoke it.

In my opinion this line of thinking only looks as far ahead as April. Purposefully losing for higher draft picks will never outweigh the benefits of having a team that does everything in its power (every week) to try and win the game.
The future means a lot more than having the 5th pick overall instead of the 8th.

I hope if we draft a D-lineman and I hope we, that everyone will understand that he will not have big impact the first couple years. D-linemen, even the great ones, almost never make an impact the first year and sometimes not even the second. Drafting aa DL is an investment in the future and can never be graded for 3 or 4 years!

Yes, this has been talked about on the board before.
We only swap with Denver if we're both 20-29 in the 1st round, and they have a worse pick than us. Since that's not going to happen, because the Skins blow this year, we keep our 1st.
Otherwise, it's a 3rd.

The future is now... who knows what will happen tomorrow, we can only control the here and now and go out and play like there is no next year... and for some of these guys there isn't...
Sorry, I felt the need to speak up for George Allen as he was rolling over in his grave...

He's right! The trade is based on a complicated "value" system.

Give me a break - nobody really thinks this could happen!
I cannot believe anyone would ever play a game in the NFL and not try to win - these are athletes and there is no way anyone can make me believe a coach or a player does not try to win when they step on the field. I am sorry but that is truly a ridiculous assumption.
We are playing the Giants and the players (and coaches) on both sides will be playing to win - there are some who know their future depends on it.
And considering our position in the draft whether we win or lose we are probably going to take the same player.
some people will make up some crazy stuff

There may be one game left for the Skins, and the playoffs for the rest of the NFL, but threads like these show that it's pretty much the off season already around THN.

I would rather take Patrick Willis. Trust me, he is the best linebacker I have seen in the SEC for years. I can't believe even at Ole Miss how little publicity he got.
In the last two years verse the Razorbacks, I have seen him knock our lineman on their butts ATLEAST three times. I also have seen him run down Darren McFadden(4.3) and Felix Jones(Faster than D-Mac)in the open field. He has so much strength and speed in one package that it is amazing. He also is a smart MLB.
Verse other teams, I have seen him also purely dominate.
He would be able to replace Lemar Marshall as a pass defender by at worst his second season and be a better pass rusher.
I personally would say he could be to the MLB position what Marcus Washington is to the OLB position on the strongside for us.
Patrick Willis will be much better than Antonio Pierce or Lemar Marshall.
Also, Gaines Adams would be drafted at a postion where we have two good starters. Andre Carter is starting to play very well and Phillip Daniels is extremely solid verse the run and has a small pulse verse the pass.

We don't need to lose our last game, we need to trade Betts...
