Do any of you out there own a Beta Fish in a little tank? I change about 1/3 of the water once a week like most people say you should...but that little fishie of mine wants to jump out of the tank the day I do that!
Anyone have any similar problems/suggestions?

Water temp is very close. Tank is just under a gallon. I used to keep the water at the very top of the tank. Now I keep it about 1 1/2 inches lower.

I thought these type of fish thrive in slime. If I am correct they live in rice fields and Asian use human fertelizer.

how long do you age the h20 before you make the change...you may want to dechlorinate it and let it sit for the period between h20 changes
