When are you gonna wake up and realize that its GIbbs that is messing up the redskins! i am not gonna give free passes to Gibbs anymore.
what he did in the past is in the past. great. hooray. awsome. he got in to the hall of fame for what he did in the past. he was rewarded.

now is now. what he is doing now is just laughable. it is embarrassing to say the least.

sure, we can say its not gibbs, its greg williams or its al saunder's play call or its the players on the field , not gibbs .....etc but look at the big picture. gibbs got al saunders here. same with williams. any decisions williams , saunders and rest of the 100 coaches that we have in this staff all leads to gibbs because he makes the decisions on who to bring in and so on. snyder doesnt make that choice anymore. he writes the checks. Gibbs was never the Gm first time around. people need to understand this.

the play calls are horrendous, clock management is awful. we waste time outs like the way we waste or give draft picks like its free candy. sure, many players that we have acquired are a bust as well but AGAIN, who got them here. GIbbs!. matter of fact, the players that we couldve resigned that are no longer here, who got rid of them? GIBBS! sure, williams said players are replaceable and that its the systems not the players. <...profanity edited...> who went out of his way to get williams here? GIBBS!

one thing that upsets me more than anything else is how we give away more than we shouldve to acquire a player. i mean , giving away 3 draft picks to draft JC? why wasnt bailey-portis an even trade. why did we give away a draft pick? why did we give brunell a super star contract and a dreaking draft pick to get him? why did we get rid of clark that wanted a little more , instead signs archuletta to the richest safety contract? same with carter. why did we get rid sign TWO wide recivers let alone big time contracts? why does he keep making embarrassing moves?

i could go on but im done.

I wouldn't rather have ANYONE other than Gibbs as coach of the Redskins.

I'm as hardcore a fan as you can get outside of the DC area. If I lived in the area, I'd be the first one at the tailgate.

The game just finished with Philly. We're 4-9.

And here this loud and clear - no way - zero percent chance - not if we don't win another game this year - will I ever, ever give up on Gibbs. Never.

He's to the Skins as Bear Bryant is to Bama, Paterno is to Penn State, Lombardi to the Packers.

And he's got three superbowl rings, two Nascar championships, and a bust in Canton that says the guy knows how to win. So he got it wrong this year. I'm not throwing away my closet full of Redskins T-Shirts or taking down the pennants in my football room. I bleed burgundy and gold and I'll come back at any hater with this rant from here until I'm dead.

It's been a long year. But I believe this with all my heart - it won't happen again. Gibbs will right this ship and when it's on course, it will stay the course for the rest of his term and the next . . . history says Gibbs wins more than he loses and the odds are on his side, not haters.

the guy has been back for 3 yrs now and he still looks confused out there. the guy didnt even know we were out of timeout last week against the falcons and was motioning tmieout with his hands towards the end of the game. that play calling last week on the final drive with no time outs.... one of the worst ive seen ever. the play calling today. 1st and goal at eagles 3 yard line. horrendous play calling. everything goes back to Gibbs. the guy cant manage the clock. after every game, he says the same is post game interviews. dude, needs to retire. go back to nascar Gibbs.,

Trash Gibbs all you want, but where was the franchise before he came here? In constant turmoil. Now at least for the first time since Norv and Jack Kent Cooke we have some consistency. GIbbs will turn this around. and every week against every team (except the Colts) we are in the game.

I realize you wanted us to win this game to give your beloved Cowgirls a bigger cushion over the Eagles, but despite your petty insults we have essentially a rookie QB and we're out of the playoffs. Our season is not being dedicated to helping your Pukes win the division.

Can you see this "in front of your face?" We need to build confidence in our D and in our QB and going for desperation isn't the way to build any confidence in our team when there was plenty of time for a stop and a field goal. Our D just again couldn't stop them. But would that have been different had we made the desperation TD and gave the ball back to the Eagles with plenty of time for them to drive for a winning field goal?

You shouldn't ask people why they can't see what's in front of their face while you see only what you want to see.

I'm a hardcore Skins fan you must be talking to me. When Gibbs came back he said things like the past os the past, and that it won't get him anything this time around. Had you been a diehard fan you would have to type this almost 3 years later, had you been commimt to your team like those that you attempt to call out you would sound as unsmart (might not be a word but kimaster wouldn't know if it were or weren't) as you do.

what upsets me is peolple getting upset about things and years latter they still don't understand what they were upset about.

I love Joe Gibbs, but isnt this a what have you done for me lately league? I don't think joe's mentally into this as the 3rd season comes to a close. Ive see the same problems with this team from the preseason games until now, when was the last time a Joe Gibbs team rushes for 210 yards and losses, thats not suppossed to happen. Last Week vs Atlanta, with 2 minutes to go on 4th down inside the 5 down by ten, why did we go for it, You kick that field goal, you need 2 scores, Joe always sends out the FG team, why not then, as much as we love him, even he is making mistakes. Myself, I feel let down this season because there is some great talent on this club and after last season expectations were high and like in recent years past when the expectations rise it seems like the players run from success.

We stuck behind Norv Turner for almost a decade why wouldn't we give Gibbs 5 years at least.

Nonsense.

Gibbs is the same coach who:

- won the Subper Bowl three times, with three different QB's and three different RB's (and one center...let's not forget Bostic and Bige Joe J and Grimm)

- went to the SB a fourth time, but lost. That's four NFC championships.

- went to the NFC Championship a fifth time.

- went to the playoffs twice more (that I can recall without looking at the record).

Gibbs then won NASCAR.

It is not like he grew stupid over the years. If anything, he got better.

I can remember a full twelve months ago when everyne on this board was hippity hopping with delight as the Skins played real Redskins football.

OK. Joe G is 66 years old. He will coach another two seasons, but he shouldn't coach the offense and call the plays the way he has before. Consider: some time he will step back and someone else has to take over. Consider: he retired early in '93 because his health couldn't take the way he coaches.

When Gibbs retires, who steps in?

Isn't it reasonable -- isn't it in the best interest of the team -- that someone younger takes over the offense? Did anyone here have a better OC suggestion that Saunders? Isn't it also reasonable that he try Campbell if the team was slipping out of the playoff race?

So Campbell isn't Sonny Jurgenson. Maybe he won't be, ever. But Gibbs is right to give him a chance, even though he can't run a hurrry-up offense yet, and even though he throws interceptions.
