Still ALIVE @ 8-8

Dallas (8-4) has not, repeat has not won our division

they still must play New Orleans, @ATL, PHI, and DET

concieve-ably they could end up 8-8!

New York (6-6) must still play @Car, PHI, Saints, and @WAS
concieve-ably they could end up 6-10, or 7-9

Philly(5-6) host CAR tomorrow night, then at WAS , at NYG and at DAL
ending with hosting ATL, since the previous two scenarios have them winning two of these...concieve-ably 7-9

So...

DAL 8-8
WAS 8-8
PHI 7-9
NYG 6-10

I don't know how a tie breaker would work but hey we held serve against Dallas and if we beat NYG and PHI our div record would be 3-3 and Dallas' would be 2-4...

Hence, we win the east

Highly doubtful, but I can see them losing to the Saints, losing to Atlants, maybe Phili, not sure, and most likely not Det, but hell, anything can happen, romo could die in a car accident, or so could the whole team on a plane crash, who knows. Sounds good though.

Technically you are right. But realistically we only have a very small chance of getting the last wild card spot. Which is a remote possibility at that.

yeah....those detroit and philly home games look real tough for them....come on....and if you think we're gonna win 4 straight WAKE UP!! We can't even beat an 0-5 team at home and we have a team who has lost 4 straight 14-0 in our own house and get beat.....GET ME ANOTHER SHOT PLEASE!!!!!!!!

We aren't going to the playoffs because we aren't a playoff team. We aren't going to winner the division because we are not a division winner. We won't win out this year either. This is growing time for Campbell and learning time for our first year players. Thats it.

I'm going with the "Play for Pride' idea but I don't expect more than 2 more wins.

Can't stop the run (and WOW is Indy's run defense horrible, good call only rushing 22 times against that team  ) = can't win

And Betts got all those yards yesterday against a top 10 D against the run?
Also interesting to see some other rankings for teams we have coming up

Wow, Minnesota is only giving up 58 yards per game on the ground....that has to be approaching some kind of record. All that and they are 5 and 7? Wow!

Sad part is that this team may very well end up 8-8 and actually tied record wise for that last spot...but our terrible conference record can still keep us out.

If we go 8-8 we deserve to go home with losses like Tennessee at home, Tampa Bay, and yesterday's embarassment.

Excuse me. But a loss against Tennessee is not an embarrasment anymore. These guys are for real. Talk about a team dominating their opponents and Vince Young coming around and maturing. Check the list of teams who have lost to Tennessee lately.

By the way, kudos to JansenFan who was one of the very few, or the only one, to pick Tennesee to win against Indy in the Hognostications this week.

Oh, and 8 - 8 is a pipe dream, let alone winning the division or playoffs. But you get A+ from me for loyalty beyond the call of duty.

I said "if" we go 8-8.

Who said anything about "embarrassment"? We lead that game and should have won it.

We lost to Tennesee before they were playing well, but still. Vince Young was in his 2nd start..and we were at home. Should have won that game period.

EXACTLY....That's why it was an embarassment....we were dominating and had a 14 point lead at home....what a meltdown.

As far a Tenn. goes...they didn't play well and we played worse....AT HOME. This team is a joke this year and I just hopes that Campbell learns a LOT and can lead us next year.

PLAYOFFS? UMMMM....NO

I'm with you on 8-8, Gibbs4Life.

Until every last shred of hope is gone, the bandwagon rolls on.

She is a-shakin' pretty bad, though. we can't lose no mo '.
