Ladell Betts? TJ Duckett?

I think neither. I seriously doubt that Duckett would even consider staying after the way that he has been used this season. Betts, I'm sure would consider resigning, but I think that he will try to sign with a team that would give him the chance to be the featured back. If that falls through then I could see him coming back.

Neither. Although, I'd sure like to keep Betts.

i dont think he could succeed as a featured back, he's a good backup and thats it. besides, i cant even think of 1 team that really needs a starting RB right now.

I don't think we'll be able to keep either one. So, I didn't vote.

While Betts was able to play better in the second half, neither are an ideal solution. I'm still hoping the Redskins will be able to retain Betts, though - For the right price. It all comes down to money.....or at least it should.

The Jets, Browns, Raiders, and the Packers all could be looking for running backs.

Thats a messed up Poll!!!! Duckett just started playing! Right now I have to say Betts just because he's been with us through all the crap! But......I haven't really seen Duckett yet! He just started! Make this pole at the end of the season and I'll vote on it!

I voted for Betts, although Duckett would be my choice. I just can't see Duckett even wanting to be here, though I think he brings more to the table than Betts. Betts is NOT starter material, period. I'm not sure that Duckett is either, but I think he'd have a better shot.

Jets- yah they could be looking for an every down back but bett's isnt one. besides they got Kevan Barlow, Leon Washington and Blaylock is still pretty good.
Browns- Ruben Droughns
Raiders- Lamont Jordan, its not his fault he was stinking, it was the O-line, Jordan could be a star with a good o-line. they need better o-lineman not a new RB
Packers- maybe, Ahman Green is slowing down but i still dont think they would want Betts
overall, i cant see him going anywhere. he's good behind Portis

Jets-Barlow hasn't been that effective, averaging only 3.1 yards per rush. In his career he has never proven that he could be a full time #1 back. Washington has been solid but the guy is only listen at 5'8 (which mean he's really an inch or 2 shorter) and I can't imagine that the Jets would want to go into next season with his as a fulltime runner.
Browns-Droughns is solid but I wouldn't be surprised if the Browns brought in some competition for him.
Raiders-Jordan, not all his fault, was playing like crap before he got hurt. Now he has a torn ligament in his knee. Who knows how he's going to look when he returns.
Packers-Ahman Green hasn't played a full season since 2003 and is going to be 30 years old by the time next season starts. Injuries have plagued him the last few season. They have Vernand Morency as a backup but who knows if the Packers would want him as a full time back.
I'm not saying that these are all jobs that Betts could easily get but there could be opportunities for him with some of these teams. If nothing else, he would atleast have a chance to fight for a starting job on these teams and he has no chance of that here.

I'd expect them to. He has a grand total of 5 touchdowns as a Cleveland Brown over last season and this season. That's unacceptable from your starting runningback.

Ahman fumbles a lot, too.
Other teams to think about:
Baltimore Ravens will be looking for a starter. Jamal Lewis is averaging 3.5 ypc this year. The Ravens might be content with Musa Smith, but he has injury issues. They'll be in the market.
The Houston Texans need a RB. Yeah, they have Domanick Davis, but he will be coming off a serious injury, and isn't a big back by any stretch.
The Titans also might be looking for a back. They've had Travis Henry for a few years, and they're always looking for someone to replace him. Despite how all-pro he looked against us

Betts is a "core guy" who has waited his time. However, this is a business still and if Betts truly has the desire to be a full-time starter and he wants too much money to resign, then let him go. Sign and trade Duckett to get some draft picks back. Re-sign Betts and get Portis healthy.

Personally I'd keep Ducket but my guess (and vote) is that Betts has a better chance of staying.
Another benifit of Duckett staying is his wife/fiancee is probably the hottest chick in the entire stadium. I'll miss her if he goes. 6 ft 2 inches of PURE beauty....
She was SUPER happy when he had that run to the about the 5 yesterday. She had a HUGE smile on her face and was clapping & jumping up and down.
They have been very disapointed how things have gone this year. Especially when he was not even active. I have told here a couple times this year to keep the faith and that the FANS like him, support him and want him to play and to please relay that msg to TJ.
She said he does but it gets frustrating after a while.
