The next gen versions are trash too. All of EA's sports offerings have been getting horrible reviews. Hopefully reviewers will grow some gonads and speak out agasint Madden.

i totally agree with you. the 2K NFL series was soo much better than madden but then EA had to go and buy the NFL license. i was pissed when i heard that. but hey, what can a simple civilian do against a monopoly like that  we're stuck with madden until 2015, might aswell play it

Ive always been a madden player, Ive got 2007 for PS2 and 360, I think PS2 is better than 360, but try NCAA series, it keeps getting better and better, I invest in the roster memory cards of ebay, makes it 10X better with the real players.

Yep, I was shocked to see how much better the NF2K series was becoming. I'm sure that played no small part in why EA forked over all that money - They had an inferior product and would have continued to lose more of the market share. So much for the "Free Market".

that should be illegal though. isnt that the definition of monopoly? the license souldnt be sold to just 1 competitor.

I know Madden 06 didn't do halftime replays and a highlight reel at the end of the game, which is why I prefered the NFL2K series. Although there stats were very messed up the entire game felt more like watching a game on Sunday instead of just playing a video game.

Now EA has no reason to upgrade there product so prepare for crap for the next few years.
