He has managed to play up and down over the last few years. You can never count on him for the big games. It was time.
But I am not sure Denver has really a replacement that can succeed this year. It appears to me that they gave up on winning their division now.

stupid move by the Broncos if you ask me! fighting for a playoff birth and they start a rookie QB?? thats a dumb move, i know Plummer has stunk up the joint so far but they are still in playoff position, they could possibly slip out.

I think it was a good move! Plummer lost the Broncos the game two weeks ago! With the interception and then the fumble in the closing minutes!!!!! Go to Vegas during football season and you'll hear some words said about that guy!
He was only scoring something like 10 points a game on offense! It was time for him to step down and let anyone else take a shot! I don't see that 'anyone else' being worse then 10 points!
