LMAO....you're f'ing crazy. Awesome.
This is why having a kid (coming in March) worries me. I'm not looking forward to having plastic crap all over the house. I think the only one who should have toys is >ME<.

Congratulations! Having a kid/gal is wonderful. I have enjoyed every second of it (I have both).
Here's the formula:
If -you- spend time with them playing sports, fishing, cooking, camping, and being an overall buddy, you win a son and your best friend who is fit and healthy.
If -you- spend time with video toys, he will do so on his own as well. He will be a fat alien stranger glued on to one electronic addiction after another.
The sadest story I heard recently on radio with the advent of PS3 was about a 28-year-old guy -obviously- single, who spends every free time he has (and even at work!) playing electronic games. According to him, He is living a -fantastic- virtual life

. I felt he was wasting it entirely together with the many opportunities of growth and fun outside of his games.
In my generation, we had a single temptation: the stupid box. Newer generations have far more sophisticated temptations that probably can be handled in moderation by some but not all. Anybody can lose a child to an addiction to that electronic trap/crap. It is up to each father to decide ...

Whats wrong with playing video games to a certain point? We are all different and everybody has different hobbies.

Sure, if you can control it as a hobby, it is fine and it can be even stimulating.
But if anybody lets it become an addiction and an obsession, it makes you inactive and prevents you from having a full life in sports and social interactions.
