Collinswoth's comments on Campbell

Did anyone happen to listen to the Dan Patrick show this morning, and Collinswoth's comments regarding JC?
He noted that someone well placed within the Skins organization prayed that Brunell would stay healthy, as the Skins brass did not have any confidence in both JC and Collins!
I know the guy hates The Danny, so I take his editorializing with a grain of salt, but none the less it worries me somewhat what he said.
Is there any credence to what Collinsworth said? Guess we'll find out the rest of the way.

Collinsworth never has said anything positive about the Skins organization. I wonder if he got burned at some point by them. I don't care if JC practices like crap, as long as he a killer on the field on Sunday.

Collinsworth is a moron. I wouldn't put any stock into anything that he says. He sucked as a player, sucked on Fox pregame, and still sucks now. All this speculation about JC is pointless because nobody has really seen him play. Even the coaches haven't seen that much of him because all he does in practice is run the scout team. Only time will tell how good or bad JC is.

JC has all the tools to be successful, but he is young and inexperienced and will make rookie mistakes. I sure hope that all of the "Bench Brunell-Put in Campbell" crowd remembers that instead of clamboring for Todd Collins the first time the kid makes a mistake.

Collinsworth is jealous. He just figured out that he was never gonna get a snap outside of practice. I think he secretly always thought that if Brunell went down with an injury Gibbs would've gone to him instead of the rookie. Now that JC has been tapped over him, he's gonna throw people under the bus.

Buttercock: Chris Collinsworth is an overpaid analyst with an inflated sense of ego who thinks using blind sources is cool, Todd Collins is the 3rd string QB on the Redskins roster who, to the best of my knowledge, has not said anything negative

We still see and hear people quoting members of the media - despite being informed numerous times here at THN, this is still amazing to me! The media "report" what they think will gain them more notoriety and they for the most part know little to nothing about what they are talking about.
That is a really stupid thing to post and it came from Collinsworth

- I did not see any sign that this was a joke, and if it was I apologise.

I'm getting close to the point where I don't watch any of the pregame, or weekly NFL shows on ESPN or any other network because most of the analysts seem to just throw out statements to make some noise. I'm convinced most of them have no more clue about what's really going to happen than any of us.

Let's say for one minute that what Clowns-worth said is true. You telling me that this team would rather flounder with a guy who's body has failed him and he can't get it done anymore?? And the same guy that said this Clowns-worth, what is he doing to make this team better??? So what happened to Gibbs keeping these guys together and them remaining loyal and mum??? Oh, the tune has changed now that the young guy get's his shot, huh???
When I heard this, I was like, "here we go". Next, a source will come out and say that JC is stupid and doesn't know the plays. Then, Gibbs only did this to save face by giving the kid a one or two game shot so that he can say that he didn't know he was this bad.
Come on. Not for the sake of making Gibbs look like an idiot or Brunell look bad but I hope that this kid comes and put's up good numbers and leads this team to a win, week end and week out for the rest of the season.

Check out who his "sources" are before you believe anything Chrissy says.
I forgot he never give a name, title, or location of his "source"
That should say something about that "source"

True, true... But what would be your take on this if it were true????

I don't think it's true - if it were it would have been known last year and Collins wouldn't have been brought in (Giving Gibbs another option beside Jason in a situation like this)

lets do this s-l-o-w-l-y - you should begin with the source - I cannot believe you are considering anything from this source - please understand, this source is not worth considering - next - everyone here is saying it is garbage - now, are you getting the picture?
These guys have an agenda and almost everything they "report" is BS - we do not like anyone even linking "stuff" from some sites as it only adds to their "credibility" - we do not need their "take" on anything.
Gibbs picked this guy - he's now starting - Gibbs knows what he is doing.

Then I look at
this and say "that was only a year and a half ago" again it's Collinsworthless that we are talking about

I know that Clowns-worth is a cornball and jerk and what he said probably ain't true. But let's just say that it was, whether the source was Clowns-worth or someone more reliable....what would be your take on????

Like I said Gibbs would have brought in someone other than Collins to be the back up. Gibbs would have left him at #3 from the start of the year and whomever would have been #2. As they came into the season it was MB, TC if a switch would be made during the game or JC between games. There is no if it were true. It's Collinsworthless

I bet Collinsworthless source is Vinnie Cerato, so I wouldn't put to much stock in his evaluation of player talent.
Collinsworthless also said 2 weeks ago on HBO that Mike Vick has finally figured it out and will be a more consistent QB. 2 bad losses later shows how right he was.

In contrast, I remember a "source" within the Skins organization saying that there was a "superstar" in the making with regard to Jason Campbell.

I understand your question roybus14 and your concern. I guess we are all saying that this guy has really proven to be just a talking head. He has lost so much credibility with some of his "insight" and has come to almost personify all that is wrong about so many of these former players now on TV.
We know that Gibbs evaluated and went to some effort to get Campbell. We can only assume that he is confident in the kid's potential that he let Ramsey go and brought in Collins because Collins knows the Saunders' offense. Gibbs would have a better back-up if he had any questions or concerns about Campbell.
Now, if we know all this, then how come somebody who should know better cannot put those facts together - this guy is just like a lot of other former players, they constantly make us aware of how little they really know.

Me too - I actually catch up on Tivo'd shows right up to 1 o'clock so I don't have to watch any of the pre-game nonesense with the over inflated jerks.
